Best charcoal grill i ever owned,

If this is the same as the one I bought almost 30 years ago,and it looks to be the same just a diffrent color,it is the best grill I ever owned.you never need water to put the coals out when they catch fire,just close the lidd.the handels on the front are great to adjust the grill.cleans easy,and I love to watch the smoke come from the top of the grill when the cooking is going good.I would not take no gas grill over this one.

I Got Broiled,

I had one of these grills for 14 years and the bottom finally rusted through causing the need for replacement. Because of the features: adjustable grilling surface, vents and side tables I purchased the same model again.
I knew the assembly difficulties but was willing to accept them. When I started assembly I could tell immediately that all the steel parts are a lot thinner than the original one. The lid does not have as tight a fit to the bottom half as the original and overall quality is a lot less. Also, while I understand inflation the original only cost me about $35 while the replacement including shipping was more the twice the cost. Next time around I will definitely look at other brands with the same features.

My previous Meco, after 10-12 years of being out in the weather and never being covered, gave up the ghost with rusted through legs.
I searched in vain for anything even close to being ajustable; went to all the local stores and found the round Weber or a knockoff and plenty of gas grills. Glad to find this Meco on Amazon. The assembly is a pain with incomplete directions, but worth the struggle. Glad to have it back like an old friend.
