My Nursing Instructor initially recommended this book last semester and now it is part of the required books for this semester. It is an excellent study guide and helped me get a high grade in Adults Health II. I learned a lot from it and will use it to study for NCLEX. Saunders NCLEX study guide is good also.

The rationales and test-taking hints are what sets this book apart from other course review books. Also the questions can be very challenging and will make you think. Each disorder section also have relevant delegation and prioritization questions. The Glossary of English Words common on nursing exams is very helpful when writing care plans and formal papers. In my opinion this book should be on the required text-book list of nursing schools. I believe that this book has increased my test grade average by 4-5 points.

Although this book will not help you review material, it will help you build your nursing test taking skills. This book contains practice test questions regarding Med/Surg material. The questions are reviewed with rationales, and the book includes many test taking tips that are helpful. If you are looking for a book to help review actual material, this is not the book for you. If you are looking for a way to help increase your test scores by becoming more familiar with how nursing test questions should be answered, this book can definitely help.

Not only does this book provide a wide variety of N-CLEX style questions which are very relevant to Med-Surg nursing, but it also includes a detailed explanation for each question. It clarifies why the right answer is right, why the wrong ones are wrong and gives hits about how to understand what each question is asking for. I highly reccomend this book for any nursing student.

The book is an excellent aide anyone is nursing school. It is filled with questions on Med-Surg sections and it has the rational with the answers after the question section. It is book an excellent review for the NCLEX and Med-Surg in general, it is 2 books in one and I LOVE it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought this book in Med-Surg 2 and used it the entire semester. I even found that a couple of my instructors were using this book to make up test/quiz questions. An excellent resource. The questions are all put together really well, several of my fellow students saw this book with me and class and bought it as well, 1 of them was on the cusp of failing and this book brought her GPA up for the final! She now has RN behind her name!!

This book breaks down each system and enables you to focus on specific diseases. The questions are a bit more difficult than typical NCLEX books but they provide excellent rationals. It was extremely helpful during my Med-Surg classes. It enabled me to get a better overall understanding of the different diseases/systems and my grades definately reflected that!

This book is great. I like how it is breaken down into sections. What I liked about it is that it's a great reviewer before taking any tests at school. I noticed that some questions were used by some instructors were from this book. Gives you rationales. Always buy a Nclex book or this one with rationales. You learn a lot from them. I give this book an A+, 100% and a positive evaluation!!! 2 Thumbs up!!!

Tests and examinations are the primary method used to challenge one's knowledge of a subject-ask any student. Those who are determined to be successful not only understand this essential fact but gather the tools necessary to develop such skills.

This book is one such tool and worth the investment. It is an excellect resource specifically applied to the nursing student, for developing critical thinking and analysis of test questions; preparation and practice for test taking. The nursing student who absorts and applies the lessons learned in this text will most certainly be successful.

What planet have I been on that I have been in nursing school a couple of years now and never purchased such a straight to the point, detailed reasoning, easy to read and great book. Like seriously, who has time to read the gazillion nursing pages that are assigned unless you are a non-human speed reader from a another planet. I am glad I purchased this book because it just makes sense. It gives you review and rationales for the correct and non correct answers. I luv this book. It even reminds you of the nursing process and interventions. It gives you tons of defintions. This book really deserves an award.
