5.0 out of 5 stars Pedaler...
We got the pedal exerciser for my mom after she had open heart surgery for aortic valve replacement. She's a slight woman...weighing in at about 111 lbs, but after everything that accompanies major surgery, she's just getting back on her feet again. Unfortunately, she's lost quite a bit of weight and she's a little weak, but this item has allowed her to work aerobically...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not too bad.
The machine itself is built sturdy and works just fine, a few draw backs to this product.

one being the packaging it was shipped in, it had nothing to really protect the machine while shipping when i got mine the control knob was broken into pieces, It still had a large enough piece to grab to adjust it so it wasn't too bad, I was able to glue it back...

The machine itself is built sturdy and works just fine, a few draw backs to this product.

one being the packaging it was shipped in, it had nothing to really protect the machine while shipping when i got mine the control knob was broken into pieces, It still had a large enough piece to grab to adjust it so it wasn't too bad, I was able to glue it back together.

It has a god awful metal against metal screech when using it on a higher level of resistance, it is easily fixed by opening it up and adding some oil to the belt and metal wheel, once it is oiled the sound isn't noticeable.

The rubber grips are pretty much useless on anything but a carpet, once you start peddling at a faster speed it just starts moving.

The frame is very light weight which does cause another issue when peddling since at times you can life up one side of it and start moving, adding a little weight to the end helps with this.

It is still better than some other ones out there and at a fair price, if you can set up your environment to use this product then it should work just fine.

Unfortunately, she's lost quite a bit of weight and she's a little weak, but this item has allowed her to work aerobically while remaining in a seated position. Our ultimate goal is to get her up and walking around the block...she was able to do that pre-surgery. But until then, the Pedal Exerciser has been a huge help in getting her mobility and respiration up.

1.0 out of 5 stars HARD TO USE, June 7, 2009

I was very disappointed in this exerciser. The "stirups" are clumsy to use and difficult for a "senior" to bend enough to attach them. It moves around too much (on carpeting) when the knob is tightened and makes an irritating squeeking sound.

Dad could no longer get on his stationary bike, but he still needs exercise. This works wonders. There is a knob to control resistance. The price was wonderful, too. It's well made. I recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great buy!, March 4, 2010

I sit at a desk all day and the pedal exerciser is wonderful for biking while I work. It fits conveniently under my desk and gives my legs a great work out. I even bring it home at night and use it while I watch TV. It's sturdy and does not tip over. I like the resistance knob at the top that allows me to adjust the type of workout that I want. I no longer feel guilty for sitting at my desk all day. The only thing I would mention is that the height of your desk may effect your ability to use it under your desk. For example, I have a keyboard tray that I have to sit to the side of or my legs hit it. Otherwise, the digital readout is easy to read, easy to use, and for the price it's a great way to burn some extra calories while at work. Using it while sitting on a yoga ball is also another great way that I have found to use the pedal exerciser.

I haved owned these wheels less than 1 month and the LED screen no longer works. Tried replacing battery, that did not work. Also it moves along the floor while pedeling requiring stopping to return it to original position. Not very expensive, a lesson in you get what you pay for.
