It's great--good quality product.
Linda I.
Its easy to fold and doesn't take much space in my shower which is great for my husband not to worry about relocating the seat when he is ready to use the shower.

I purchased this bath chair after fracturing my left leg. I needed a sturdy bench to help me get the leg in and out of the tub and to sit on during the shower. I'm a fairly fit, 40 year old man.

My only complaint is that the chair does not "lock" into the open position. With many tubs slanting slightly towards the drain, the chair tends to fold up a bit when a person leans forward (say to adjust the shower or reach for the shampoo). I could see this being dangerous for an elderly person or anyone who was not paying attention.

Otherwise, this product is well built, easy to fold up, light, and does the job. Great value for the price.

Purchased this folding bench to save space while not in use. I'm a 27 yr old female recovering from a (non weight bearing) foot injury, I'm also an Occupational Therapist and have to often use and recommend shower chairs/benches to patients on a daily basis. With that said, I only recommend this item to younger individuals who are ambulatory and only need it temporarily, primarily due to its instability. For the senior population I strongly advise to look into a chair (with back) or bench.

To other customers who left negative reviews regarding the chair not locking in the open position, well, it does. I recently discovered the locking feature, a small metal tab under the seat that snaps into a corresponding hole to lock the seat in the open position (I will try to add user photo).

Instability (-1 star): The locking feature however, does not increase stability much. If you have to lean far into any direction the chair will tip and potential fall over (I had 2 near falls because of this, only solution: don't lean). This would've been easily solved had they installed suction cup tips on the legs, as some other manufacturers offer, but they didn't, leaving this item to be a fall hazard.

Rust (-1 star): Yes, all steel frames of any shower chair/bench or 3 in 1 commode WILL rust, I see it everyday. BUT, I have not seen any durable medical equipment rust like this chair does (esp after only 3weeks of use). At first glance no rust is visible, but that is because the rust is all inside the frame, due to the trapped water that has no drainage path. There are 4 illogically placed holes on each bottom horizontal brace that water is unable to properly drain through unless the chair's legs are filled with water.

I bought this so I can sit in the shower because I have MS. It is heavy enough to feel solid and safe but light enough to move around in the shower. It is a bit big but if your shower is large, its a great item. I am glad I bought it.

Easy to put together. Just open box and unfold! Directions say to tighten screws but all were tight to begin with. No assembly required.

I had high hopes for it as it folds up to save space. Unfortunately the chair ended up lifting up at the folding joint and cause I slip and fall from the chair unto shower ground. It's very unsafe and I am afarid to use it because it's not stable.

GREAT FOR LARGE SHOWER OR LARGE TUB BUT NOT FOR A REGULAR TUB. LEAVES NO ROOM FOR MOVEMENT.

After looking at most every shower seat here, I found the best one for me and this is it. It's sturdy yet light and easy to use. I'm the only one using the shower who needs a seat so it gets lots of fold and store action. Slips right into the space next to the sink.

Just the right height for me but check the dimensions as there is no height adjustment. That suits me fine as it eliminates unnecessary joints to rust or collect water.

Ready to use right out of the box in my shower that was remodeled from a standard tub space.

Fast shipped via FedEx.

I like the quality of this bench. Nice, comfortable seat, easy to fold and store. However...I was sitting forward on the bench and it collapsed and I ended up on the floor. Scared me! If you buy this, just make sure to sit all the way back in the chair.

The chair was delivered on time. It is preassembled, the user can install the 2 provided locking bolts and nuts to lock the legs open. The frame is built strong, and the folding feature is easy to use. It is comfortable to sit in while showering. The non-slip floor grips on the legs are heavy duty and should last a long time. The chair is easy to stand up from.
