Frontline is Fantastic!, March 8, 2005
This review is from: Medal of Honor: Frontline (Audio CD)
Medal of Honor Frontline combines all the major themes from the originals and adds in some other great ones. Giacchino uses more instruments to his advantage and an entire adult choir to play out the dramatic Sturmgeist theme. Highlights are 'Manorhouse Rally', 'Arnhem', and 'Escaping Gotha', a seven minute roller-coaster ride that ends up inside a stolen German jet. while it is less beautiful than Underground, it is wonderful in describing the action and sadness all around. The Nazi theme comes back, along with a new Gestapo theme. This item is going to be out of print really soon, so I urge you to buy it now!

Giacchino's Best!, June 4, 2007
This review is from: Medal of Honor: Frontline (Audio CD)
I have enjoyed playing this game for a while now, and when I found out that there was a soundtrack avaliable, I jumped at the chance.
I have the soundtracks for the original MOH and MOH Underground, and I must say that this is the best of Michael Giacchino. There is more of a symphony, and the symbols coupled with drums are truly amazing. Also, the adult chorus adds and eerie feel to the whole album, which I enjoy.
So, if you like the music from the game, you will love this soundtrack! Also note that even though the actual CD's are rare to find, it can be purchased for MP3 players...
And make sure to listen to track 19! You have to wait for a minute and ten seconds, then you will start hearing the songs that the Germans sing in the Golden Lion level!

Absolutely Fantastic. A Milestone in Videogame Scoring and the MOH Series., January 20, 2012
This review is from: Medal of Honor: Frontline (Audio CD)
When Giacchino's score for the original MOH was released, film score buffs and critics alike praised its musicality and its proper placement in the videogame. It set a standard for orchestral music in future videogames and showed the film score community that Michael Giacchino knows how to write exhilerating music for orchestra. MOH Frontline outshines MOH and MOH Underground with its tremendous impact and orchestral/choral power; tracks like The Shipyards of Lorient, Manor House Rally, The Halftrack Chase, and Sturmgeist's Armored Train generate excitement while the superior softer tracks like Operation Market Garden and Arnhem stimulate emotion with fantastic string and choral performances. Giacchino hit the nail square on the head with this score. Its power cannot be matched.
