5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome game!!!!
This game is much better than Medal of Honor Underground. The 3-D view is gone, and replaced by a old style 2Dish view. Sound effects are excellent, and at times, it sounds like you are really in the battle! ThatŐs if you hook up some external speakers to make it sound even more real! there are three types of levels in this game. Action, tactical, and gunning. Action, and gunning objectives are simple, just to seek and destroy. The tactical levels require more thinking, and the destroying of oil tanks, weapons barrels, and the like. Although this game pales in comparison to some Medal of Honor Games for the PS2, for the handheld I am very impressed and would highly recommend it. Know I just cant wait until a DVD portable comes to the market, so we can enjoy the PS2 stylish games on the road.

4.0 out of 5 stars Medal of Honor for the GBA, December 23, 2003

This review is from: Medal of Honor Infiltrator (Video Game)
I bought Medal of Honor: Infiltrator for the GBA a little while ago and I'll say I'm quite impressed. If you are a fan of the Medal of Honor frachise on the PC or Consoles, then you will probably enjoy this game. WWII shooter fans will also be pleased.

There are a total of 15 levels in MoH:I. they are all very well-done and every level in it has something to see. Searchlights wander back and forth while you're trying to sneak past patrol towers; the shadows of enemy bombers appear before they drop their payloads in your vicinity; grenades arc through the air when you toss them; enemy soldiers wave their hands in the air to catch the attention of their comrades. It's those little details that make a game like this so great. In most of the levels, you'll be controlling Cpl. Murphy from a top-down view of the battle field. Although that is true with most levels, a few put you in a First Person Shooter view with a sight to help you aim and take out enemy soldiers. Both types of levels are very thought out and at no point did I find myself saying, "well why didn't they do this," or, "why didn't they improve that." Yes, that is how good it is.

To go along with the great levels are some great graphics. The environments you'll find yourself in are good looking in a rough kind of way, and you are also able to go into most buildings and find ammo or a first aid kit. There are also buildings that are for a specific purpose, like a gray building that houses weaponry, or a tent, where you'll find health pack. The characters in the game also have a cartoonish-look to them, but not in a bad way. All of this is drawn by using the same 2D backgrounds and tiny character sprites that make up everything else in the game. A series of video clips in between each level feature footage from old WWII news reels and tie the game together nicely.

Now on to the gameplay, the most important part of the game. In MoH:Infiltrator there are three types of gameplay, Tactical, Action and 1st Person shooting. Tactical and Action are essentially, the same thing, but in tactic levels, you will try to not shoot and take out enemies by bashing them with your weapon as to not have the alarm go off and alert more troops. Whereas, in Action, it's just your basic Run'N'Gun gameplay, where you'll be taking out hordes of enemy troops. In some of these levels, you'll be able to even use a tank to take out those hard-to-kill enemies. The third type is the 1st person shooting. As I've already said, you have a sight in 1st person view to help aim. All three of these different types of levels varry the gameplay so it doesn't seem like you're doing the same thing over and over again.

As interesting as the graphics and gameplay are, the sound really ties all together nicely. MoH:I uses digitized sound clips for things like gunshots and voices. Enemy soldiers cry for help if they see you and scream when they die. Cpl. Murphy even cries out if you are about to be ambushed or if your health is at a dangerous level. The music during the levels also has a historical feel to it.

In addition to all the things I've said here, MoH:I also has several different play modes to add a little replay value to the game. You can also unlock a "survival" mode, where your goal is too kill as many enemy troops as possible without dying. If linking up with a friend is your kind of thing though, then you can play through the missions cooperatively, or you can go head-to-head with a friend. These extras are sure to add replay value to an already great game.

So far, I've said everything good about Medal of Honor: Infiltrator. And even though most things to say about this game are good, it's not without it's flaws. One, and in my opinion the most important one, is that this game is just too short. Yes, the extra modes offer replayability, but the campaign won't take you more than a few hours to complete. Another complaint that people may have is that the aiming isn't precise enough. You are able aim in eight different directions, but sometimes it just seems that the enemy slips through the cracks when you can least afford it. Some of the MoH:I's more realistic aspects take a toll on your aiming too. If you take damage, your character will get pushed back and is stunned for a moment, and when you empty a clip, you can't fire again until you finish reloading. These realistic details are cool, but some people are bound to be annoyed by them.

In conclusion, I've had many more good things to say about this game than bad, so anyone looking for a good handheld action game will be extremely pleased.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not just a time waister, July 15, 2004
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Medal of Honor Infiltrator (Video Game)
Most GBA games nowadays are just a game to past the time between long trips and not for serious gamers such as myself. I currently own ten different GBA games that i enjoy very much on my vacation traveling and long car trips but i didn't find a game to actually play until now. Medal of Honor: Infiltrator is an awsome game to play for the serious gamer on the go. This game is probably the most in depth game i own for the GBA, just under Final Fantasy Tactics. Though i have not beaten it yet i do enjoy the missions i have played through. The first mission in the game is very exciting with and introduction similar to that of the D-day of the medal of honor from the home consoles. This game is very fun and challenging which is why i play this game instead of playing my PS2 or GC sometimes. The graphics are outstanding. You view the game from a top-down view instead of the Medal of Honor Undergrond FPS view. This GBA game also includes scenes from old Newsreels taken from WWII which is very impressive for a GBA. The sound of this game is fantastic with the main charchter shouting "INCOMING!" when some enemie troops are coming into the scene.

This game is very fun and has large depth to it making it a very enjoyable game all around. I highly recommend this game to casual and hardcore gamers alike. Casual gamers may not finish it but it is a very exciting GBA game to play on the road.

Overall 10/10

Good ol'e fashioned nazi killin is the name of the game in Medal of Honor infiltrator for gameboy advance. Despite the fact that Medal of Honor underground was completely horrible I think Infiltrator stands a chance to be one of the GBA's best tactical shooters. The graphics are rough and cheesy but brilliant. And the level structure is way historically inaccurate,("Who ever heard of a solider starting his campaign on D-DAY"). There are three different kinds of levels, Action, Tactical, And Shooter. Tactical is my personnal favorite. Tanks are also featured to take out stubborn germans and Japs alike. The soundtrack is original MOH music and the newsreel clips are very authentic.I recommend playing one of the console titles first to get practice because it's pretty hard. Overall MOH infiltrator is a worthy buy for gamers everywhere

This review is from: Medal of Honor Infiltrator (Video Game)
Medal of Honor Infiltrator is an intense action game. Wage war from North Africa to Stalingrad. This game has three diffrent level types: Action, Tactical, and Shooting. Action- This is where you have an upper angle view of your soldier in war. Tactical- Almost the same as action except you hide and move more stealthly. Shooting- This is where you are in a first-person shooting mode behind bunkers, on ships, or even as a tail gunner on an aircraft. The Game also features drivable tanks to take out tough-to-kill enemies. Intelligent enemy soldiers react appropriately to threats. Choose from four diffrent weapons kits. 15 action-packed levels set across Africa, the Western Front and the Eastern Front. Link up with friends in co-operative or competitie modes. Great game with excellent sound and graphics! A+!

The gameplay is a little repetitive but you don't think about that while your playing this game. Very easy to learn how to play if bought used without instructions. Ordered it the eighth and got it the twelfth.

well since I had medal of honor Underground and I thoughd this looked even better. My mom got me this game for my birthday. I was so excited! I waited day after day after day until It got to my house. The cover looks nothing like you would see in the game. The graphics are horrible they are so bad that you ask your self if the game is from 1 b.c. Medal of honor underground gba is pretty fun. people say the graphics are bad. thier like gold compared to this rotten game. My friend had an Incredibly cool Medal of honor called Medal of honor frontline. It is like what you would do in medal of honor underground except better. first of all, its easy to die. now here are more complaints. your only a little midget running around shooting inaccurately, And I can not believe they even had a right to make this game. I woud have given this game 0 stars but it would not let me. So lets just say medal of honor deserves to be thrown in the trash. Once i played it the intro seemed good because of real footage. But once I started playing it I wanted my money back. DO NOT BUY THIS DIRTY ROTTEN GAME!
