I own one of the stainless steel setups, for which I was trying to order replacement hoses when I found these disposable plastic kits, and I am definitely switching. For one thing, the cost is similar to buying just the replacement parts for the stainless bucket, with the added protection of replacing everything. Especially in the case of parasite infection, starting completely sterile is very important. Secondly, you can see through the plastic bucket to know how much liquid has been used. This is a major drawback of the opaque bucket. Third, the plastic bucket has little handles that fold out from the top, so it can hang up if you don't have a handy horizontal surface to set it on. Finally, the plastic tubing is much better quality than what I have found from other suppliers.
