5.0 out of 5 stars great!!! there are no leaks if you screw the cap on right!
Other reviews stated that there are leaks and I will admit if you don't pull up when screwing down the cap the silicon nipple catches and can cause leaks- but if you pull up when screwing down the last quarter turn you will have no problems with leaks. These are great bottles. We bought the slow flow nipples separtly and use those in conjuntion with the bottles for our...

1.0 out of 5 stars Leaky leaky bottles!
We purchased these Medela 8-ounce and 4-ounce bottles because they are glass and because they are compatible with our Medela pump. They work fine for storing pumped milk, but they are absolutely awful for feeding. The caps do not screw on cleanly when the silicone nipple is inserted and they will leak all over you and your baby. Very frustrating! All six bottles we...

5.0 out of 5 stars works great if used properly!!, September 10, 2011
This review is from: Medela Breastmilk Bottle Set - 8oz (2 pk) (Baby Product)
Some say that these leak but if you screw them on carefully they don't leak. I just do a tip test to see if it leaks. Mine never leak and I have about 8 bottles...each one not leaking. I love that they are made in the USA and that there is no plastic leaching into the milk. Even BPA free bottles are still make of chemicals and leak into milk. not glass ones. Love these!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Leak, July 28, 2011

I should have read the other reviews. You can't feed with these bottles because they leak, they are a waste of money.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not sure how others got these bottles not to leak; they leak bad, June 13, 2011

I've been using 5oz plastic Medela and did find that you had to screw the cap on a certain way otherwise they'd leak. So when I read the reviews here about these bottles leaking (and the one review that disagreed) I figured that people were just being careless when they tightened the bottles.

I'm almost convinced now that the few positive reviews here are puppets, there is simply no way to use the bottles without having them leak. No "pulling up" on the nipple when screwing on the lid; no threading the cap carefully. These things are just crap.

Printing out my return label now. How did Medela allow these things into the market? Amazon needs to take them off their site.

i am so pleased with these bottles. they are great quality AND DO NOT LEAK like some reviews stated. you do have to make sure to start screwing the cap on at the right place. make sure the threads on the bottle catch the threads on the nipple ring, then it will go on with no problems. the bottles are a little on the heavy side so i'll be the one holding the bottle for my daughter. worth it though since they are guaranteed to be BPA free unlike the plastic bottles.

2.0 out of 5 stars Don't seal well, March 14, 2011

The bottle tops do not seal well with the glass bottles. Glass is not boron-silicate, burst after sterilizing in steam bag.

These bottles are good, but when I ordered them I did not realize that they were glass, so be aware of that before ordering them. I have been using Medela products since my baby was born, so I will make do, now my search for plastic coverings is on (siliskins). But overall they are nice bottles. Medela does not make 8oz. bottles in plastic unfortunately, maybe in the future.
