What's the most absorbent pad?,
By A Customer
This review is from: Medela Disposable Nursing Bra Pads - 60-pk. (Baby Product)
I don't know about the rest of you, but when my milk came in I was continually drenched. I tried reusable pads and those just got soaked and my top would get wet. I tried johnson & johnson which was a waste of money, evenflow I leaked everywhere, even the Medela didn't keep me from leaking. I've only found 2 brands that I will ever buy again. Gerber Heavy Flow or Lansinoh, I can at least go for 2-3 hours before I have to replace them. I no longer wake up in the middle of the night soaked. This is just information that I wish I would have known before I tried every brand on the market.

These will work, but I prefer others,
This review is from: Medela Disposable Nursing Bra Pads - 60-pk. (Baby Product)
These pads are very thin and do not show through your clothes. I never leaked much, so these pads worked fine in that respect. However, they do not hold up when you open your nursing bra for frequent breastfeeding. The adhesive on the lining does not stay stuck to the bra and the absorbent filling comes loose and bunches up.
If you have these, they will work, but I much prefer the Lansinoh pads.

I leak a lot and I've tried washable pads and avent pads with dissapointment. Once I tried the Medela pads I was ecstatic because they held so much. I like how they contour to the shape of the breast and look very discreet under clothing and I love how I barely have to change them. I would highly recommend these pads! I can't live without them.

I tried various brands of nursing bra pads. They were either too bulky and showed through clothing, or they did not provide enough absorbancy. I got a sample of the Medela pads with my pump and have been hooked ever since. They are completely undetectable and provide excellent protection from leakage. My only problem with them is finding the large box in stock at the few stores that carry them.

Every single breast pad available doesn't compare. They either show thru your clothing or they leak through after 1 episode of letdown! Medela is wonderful. I wear them & no one can notice. Once i got caught without any extras & had to go almost 8 hours & was leaking like crazy because baby or pump wasn't available. They held up without leaks & still kept thier form. Too bad other companies ( like gerber, evenflow, aveda) haven't caught on to this wonderful design.

Nursing Baby #4 -- and wish I'd had these sooner!,

I received a sample of these Medela nursing pads at the hospital after I had my baby. With all my other babies I've used Curity pads because I'm one of those moms that could "feed the nursery"... in other words, I leak a lot. I really liked the Curity pads until I tried Medela's new ones. These are great! Highly absorbent, no wetness on the skin, comfortable, and you can wear them so much longer than the other pads on the market. They are much more pricy - my only negative comment - but I think I'd go through 2 or more of another brands pads to one of these thus making them worth it to me.

I was only able to nurse my son for the first 8 weeks, but from the time he was born until then, I tried a variety of nursing pads and the first rule is - forget reusable. They don't soak up anything and all you feel is cold and damp. As far as disposable, medela is the best. Each pad is really thin and has adhesive to stick to your bra or even a tight shirt. They hold i think about 3 ounces of fluid each, so for people that leak like crazy, they work awesome. after the milk's been absorbed the material in the pad turns it into kind of a gel-like consistency so you can be walking around filling that pad up and you won't feel a darn thing. hands down themost comfortable and efficient nursing pad EVER!

I am in love with these Madela breast pads. I am a first time mom and I wasn't too sure about breastfeeding products. I tried the Evenflo breast pads and the washable pads. To my surprise I constantly had huge wet and embarrassing rings on my shirts. A family member suggested the Medela breast pads to me and I think they are awesome. They absorb everything; even in the middle of the night when my flow is the heaviest. I can't say enough about this product. It is definately a must buy for all breastfeeding mothers.

These were great to absorb leaking breast milk, but the sticky part isn't very big and doesn't hold the pad in place very well at all.

In terms of absorption these are the best pads I have tried (out of 3 different brands), but they could use some contouring and if you wear them in a thin bra plan on layering up your shirts unless your advertising that your breasts leak.
