I'm pregnant now and one morning my husband says, "you should really make sure you put that cocoa butter all the way on the sides."

I'm like "what?!?" and yes, sure enough, there were stretch marks radiatiing from my ribcage toward my belly, all the way around my front. It sort of looked like I got clawed by a tiger with about 40 toes, and each vertical mark was maybe 4 inches long. I went to the drugstore that same day and bought a tube of Mederma, and applied it fatihfully several times a day to these new stretch marks for at least a week (now I remember only 2-3X/day). Now, about 2 weeks later, there is literally nothing there.

I'm choosing to buy this Mederma since it seems like the best price per ounce (and free shipping), and if I notice new marks, I want to be well-armed to treat them as soon as possible. Mederma does say their product works best on new marks, and I can certainly vouch for its effectiveness in my case. I've also been continuing to use cocoa butter cream (palmers, $4 from drugstore) mixed with pure vitamin E oil from the healthfood store ($5 for a small vial). After a friend's doctor warned her not to use Vitamin E oil after varicose vein surgery, as the scars would heal too rapidly, I've been a believer in its powers.

Hideous dark, uneven skin, bumpy scars GONE! All gone this stuff will dry you out but it works, i swear. You don't need anything else but this. This is all you need!

Please beware of the merchant BP Medical. I have had numerous bad experiences with them. Other merchants sell this 3 pack and I buy from them without issue. I recommend Mr. Medical... and no I don't have any affiliation with them, just plenty of experience with ordering different supplies from most of these merchants.

Other than that, I love this product. A small amount really does go a long way but even so I'm still having to use a 3 pack every month due to the huge area I have to cover. I am a male who served in Iraq and I got very sick after being out in the dust storms and caught pneumonia. I lost 70 pounds in 2 months, and 30lbs of it was lost in the first 2 weeks. I was deathly ill and couldn't get any treatment for it and after regaining the weight I now have a belly full of probably 50 major scars from my thighs to my lower chest. Until recently it was a terribly embarassing sight, but after 3 months they are noticeably lighter. What used to be dark red and highly visible across the room is now light pink and only visible if viewed up close or if I stretch them out. I'm hoping at the end of the 6 months that they will be all but gone and I trust I will be Very happy with my investment. They are quite severe stretch marks (they are 8 years old and some are a full inch wide) so I'm not under the illusion that they will completely vanish, but if they even turn grey and blend in with the skin like normal stretch marks do then I'll be happy--and it appears to be going in that direction at a steady pace.

This product was recommended by my physician after bunion surgery. It worked very well and I will use it again if/when I have another surgery. Use for several weeks as directed.

My daughter got a scar on her face. She picked off a scab on her face and the resulting scar was bright red. I gave it some time, but the redness did not fade readily. I understand scars can fade over time, especially on kids; but since it was on her face, I did not want to take any chances. That it only might work was good enough for me. I've used Mederma regularly on her face for about a month and it is definitely faded, not so noticeable anymore.

I also have a deep scar that is 35 years old right smack on the bridge of my nose. It's not fading any more than it has. I decided to try it on that and also a recent burn scar on my arm. The scar on my arm is looking better. It's still there but smooth and fading. The one on the bridge of my nose is deep. I think it looks better but it will be many months before I think I'll truly know. I'll be back to update at that time.

For now, I think it does seem to help and really doesn't hurt new scar formation.

I used it as recommended in the package and my scar was noticeably less apparent, smaller and smoother in one month of using it. Great for stretch marks to.

Very effective for rough, uneven skin texture such as burned or abnormal skins. I have abnormal, red, rough, scarred skin and Mederma makes it less visible. A drawback: Mederma makes your skin itches. But the positive results from Merderma makes its drawback insignificant. The longer I used the better my skin got. It's a miracle drug for me.

My wife had acne scars ever since I met her seven years ago. They were the "potting" scars that looked like little holes. I've always wanted her skin to look good, because it had always looked scarred and made her look older than she was. So I reviewed different methods of acne scar treatment to try to help her out. The laser was too expensive, it hurts, and it's not 100% safe or effective so I ruled that out. I read reviews about Mederma so I decided to give it a try. So far it's been only 3 weeks of her using Mederma 6 times a day and her face looks awesome now! It seriously looks like someone took an ereaser and ereased all of her scars! I'm so happy with the way her face looks now, she looks a lot younger too, with new, fresh skin! Needless to say, I'm very, very excited and much more attracted to her soft, smooth face!!! ( ; "Thank God for Mederma!!!" I would highly recommend this stuff to anyone over any other acne scar treatment! It's inexpensive, safe, and most importantly, it really works!!!

Compared to Walgreens this is a steal. I got much more for the same money.

I had surgery a few weeks ago and my Dr. recommended using this product to reduce my scars. I could not believe what a great price I found it for on Amazon! I would recommend buying the 3 pack, especially if you have to use for three months as I do! It is so much cheaper!!
