Medgar Evers: Activist by Jennie Brown is an excellent biography of Medgar Evers. It is filled with wonderful pictures that bring the times and life of the man alive. The print is large and easy to see. The writing is lively, intimate and thoughtful. Altogether an excellent introduction into the life of Medgar Evers, a bold, courageous man and African-American hero.
