The Net Media SC02 CAModulator In-wall Color Camera with Built-in Modulator provides one of the most innovative solutions available in residential camera applications. The unique in-wall assembly combines a digital-video RF modulator with a CCD-board camera, and provides a one-coax installation where the power and video output for the camera share one coax cable. The output of the SC02 is a television channel that can be distributed via a cable distribution system to all of the televisions in the home, meaning no monitor is required. Easy to install, this camera fits in a single gang (light switch) box and is suitable to both indoor and outdoor applications, with a conformal coating that protects it from the elements.

The Net Media SC02 utilizes a color CCD (charge-coupled device) image sensor and a 3.7-millimeter fixed lens. This unit achieves a resolution of 380 horizontal TVL (TV lines), and can receive a picture down to a minimum illumination of 0.5 Lux. This camera features an automatic electronic iris, and a bendable bracket for adjusting your field-of-view. For its output the Net Media SC02 uses an F-connector, and operates via an RG59, or RG6 or better connection cable. This unit runs on 12-volts DC power supplied via its included cable, and uses a digital crystal PLL (phase-locked loop) modulation method.

Lux rating is the measurement used to indicate how sensitive a camera is to light, and stands for the level of light reflected off a piece of paper by a candle from one meter away. Thus a sensitivity of three Lux would mean a camera could generate an acceptable picture of a piece-of-paper-sized object that was illuminated by the equivalent of three candles from one meter away. The lower the Lux level, the better the camera's ability to work in low-light conditions. CMOS (complimentary metal-oxide semiconductor) sensors offer less image quality, but are usually more cost-effective and energy efficient.

This camera is amazing. The picture is perfect no matter the lighting conditions, daylight, sunlight, backlight it figures it out and adjusts to the conditions. I mounted it to the wall in our business and nobody even knows it's a camera. I've tried many cameras before and until now had always been disappointed. The pictures on those cheap cameras are so bad that you can't tell if the person in the picture is a robber or your grandmother.
