Kaoma has the freshest sound in the business, with top-flight vocals, compelling drumming, bright guitar stylings, original drum sounds, bright brass and dynamite lyrics. Never mind that they sing in Spanish and Portuguese, this ensemble deserves much more recognition than they seem to be getting.

I read other reviews and decided to give this CD a try - and am 100 percent pleased. All the tracks are great, catchy, listenable and danceable.

I first heard about Kaoma when I was traveling in Europe several years ago. I bought a tape of theirs which is currently unavailable. Then I bought A La Media Noche, and it's a great album, especially the song "Todo". The singer Loalwa Braz has a great voice and can sing in several languages.I definitely recommend Kaoma, and I'm sorry they aren't putting out more albums.

This cd has so much rhythm that you want to dance even if you don't feel like it. I have been listening to this cd for years and I am still not bored with. It's great when you have company for a barbeque or on your way to a beach. The energy that the music gives you and brightens your whale day is great.

When i bought this CD, i didn't know anything about Latin music: it's the first in my huge collection. To tell the truth, i had never planned to buy any more Latin CDs -- until i listened to the fascinating tunes of La Media Noche. The hypnotizing tropical world of Kaoma has enchanted me ever since, and i recommend this CD to any music lover. I especially recommend the tracks Quando, Outro Lugar, and Essa Maneira for a taste of this incredible Brazilian group.
