Editorial Reviews

Review

"[Thomson Wadsworth] makes it easy to teach from this book. . . . The professional Thomson staff will support you and work with you to create your best class possible." "One of the strengths of the book is that it does integrate infrastructure, law, and ethics into the chapters. Integration allows students to see the connection between these variables and the end result."

"The authors do not talk above the heads of [students] but do a great job luring them into the content with their writing."

"MEDIA NOW is undeniably one of the most modern texts, keeping abreast of the times and trends, [and] providing knowledge of onward movements and recent developments in the field of journalism to students of mass communication."

"In the highly competitive Introduction to Mass Communication text market, MEDIA NOW is a solid competitor. The text offers a solid sweep of the content normally covered in this course. The text is written in an accessible fashion and contains ample up-to-date examples to illustrate key concepts. The visuals are ample and placed throughout the text in a way that increases readability. The support materials--including the course website, access to InfoTrac College Edition and the InfoTrac Student Activity Workbook, the Multimedia Manager, and the Media Literacy Workbook--are excellent and packed with teaching tools and ideas in support of the course."

"I've used this textbook for two years and will use it again . . . . Why? The content is solid, the presentation is good, and the instructor resources and supplements are extremely helpful." --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

I really am thankful that the book came in on time. I ordered it Friday night and received it Monday afternoon. The book came with how it was described with a few highlighting. Other than the highlighting the book was in great condition!
