5.0 out of 5 stars Works great
It comes with a CD with drivers for Windows as well as Mac. I did not use it since it works just fine with Windows XP.

When plugged in, all the individual slots appear as separate harddrives. With so many drives it was sometimes difficult to figure out which one was which.

I bought this media reader because I have two digital cameras and they use different media. The reader was easy to use, just plug it in to a usb drive, insert media card, and voila, your pictures are displayed on your monitor. Unfortunately, my media reader burned out after about four uses. This product is a great idea, but didn't work well for me.

The unit is about the size of a thin PDA and the USB jack is retractable inside the unit.

The unit also includes a USB extension cable in case it is too clumsy to attach to your laptop. This was smart thinking on their part.

It is a great addon for any road warrior's travel pack.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great on a Windows PC, August 28, 2009
This review is from: MediaGear Hi-Speed USB 2.0 9 in 4 Digital Card Reader/Writer - EP9n4/Reader (Personal Computers)
Have used this card reader/writer and it works great - just plugged into a windows machine and read my cards immediately - did not have to download any additional drivers (With Win XP and later). Not sure if this works as well on a Mac though, but if you only want it for a Windows machine, its a great choice!
