Pros:
Quality feels good
Plenty of outlets
Wall-plug is flat/angled

Cons:
Doesn't work if your TV draws more than 15 watts when turned off
Doesn't have a way to adjust the sensitivity
Outlets are scrunched together; no room for large power supplies

*** If you plan to use with a TV ***
I have my TV plugged in to the Master outlet, the one that controls the energy saving outlets, but when I shut off my TV the energy saving outlets do NOT turn off (bad). If I unplug my TV completely, the energy saving outlets turn off (good). The strip is not SENSITIVE enough to make the strip turn off when the TV is off. I have another one of these strips (different brand) that has a place to adjust the sensitivity, but this strip provides no way to adjust this. This is the model that I have that works because it's adjustable: Smart Strip LCG4 Energy Saving Power Strip with Autoswitching Technology and Fax/Modem Surge Protection

*** If you plan to use with a computer ***
I would recommend a power strip that provides a way to adjust the sensitivity if you plan to use it with a computer. When the computer goes into "stand-by", it still draws some electricity. Energy saving power strips like this one (without a way to adjust) will NOT turn off when the computer is in standby (bad). I have another power strip that I use with my computer that allows me to ADJUST the sensitivity. I have adjusted it so that it saves energy when my computer is in standby (good).

Putting together a new home theater system, I was in need of another power strip, and had just become aware of just how much power my receiver and subwoofer would consume while purportedly off. I had also just purchased a Mediabridge TOSlink cable, and included in that was a brief catalog of their products, in which I found this. It was just what I needed! It's a surge protector, of course, but more important is the novel switching mechanism. There is a master outlet, and a series of slave outlets. The power state of whatever is plugged into master, controls the power going to the slave outlets. If master is on, slave devices receive power. If master is off, they don't. Pretty simple, and there's not much more I can say. It seems to be built well, and is of the same quality I have come to expect from Mediabridge.

Bought this and got a discount with other mediabridge products, one reason we love AMAZON so much! This replaced an unruly one before it that kept turning on its side and wouldn't lay straight against the wall/floor. This is very heavy and lays nicely giving access to all the plugs and switches. The instructions that came with it are very easy to read and follow. We live in an area that is always getting hit by lightening or power goes out during storms; this is a very necessary item to protect electronics. Highly recommend!

Item seem to fail after only 6 days of use at an important presentation - unfortunately, several plugs randomly turned power off with popping/clicking sounds (master plug was not in use). I always utilize surge protectors at Hotel presentations for my projector TV, DVD play, computer, etc.. I replaced this item with a backup from another manufacturer - back up worked fine for the next 8 days on the same Hotel line. Manufacturer contacted me about my initial report of failure. Upon review with very helpful technician/engineer, if Master plug is empty, system will normally act as I describe unless ENERGY SAVER switch is turned OFF. Again, if MASTER PLUG is left empty, ENERGY SAVER switch must be turned OFF for proper operation.

I was looking into replacing two older surge protectors, one for an HDTV, home theater, and gaming systems and the other for a high end PC. After looking at countless Belkin and other brands I found this one by chance. The current reviews were excellent and I already own a MediaLink wireless router so I figured I'd give this one a shot. I ordered two and surprisingly they arrived the next day. The two units feel solid and well built. The energy saving feature with master device is pretty neat. The only thing I could think it's missing is a master power switch. But otherwise I am so far pleased.

I bought one of these for my entertainment center and was so impressed I purchased a second surge protector for my home server/external hard drives. At which point I discovered that the master outlet only triggers the energy saver ports when it is using at least 11 watts (if memory serves). As my Mac mini uses less than this at idle, all my hard drives would spin up and down every time the load on the server changed. I had to buy an outlet adapter to plug a second low-draw device into the master outlet to get it to function as intended.

The Mediabridge Intellisurge is an excellent product for my home computer network. It completely lives up to the other positive reviews I read. The level of surge energy and current protection it provides is the highest I found in units of similar and somewhat higher price. It appears to be well made and the instructions clearly explain how the master, slave and independent plugs work. They allow me to turn my computer and peripherals on with just the main computer power button, and turn them off automatically when I shut down Windows to turn the computer off. The independent plugs leave my wireless router and printer on for our laptops on the network, while still providing surge protection. The status lights are a good feature if you place the surge protector where they can be seen.
