I was disappointed with a 25ft HDMI cable that was recommended with my recent home theater component purchase. It was NOT a Mediabridge cable, but a cheap cable that worked for many other people that bought it. It didn't work for my application. Therefore I was reluctant to buy anything that was priced reasonably and without breaking the bank. I searched for several days reading over 100 reviews. I was being very critical and patient, even with the positive reviews. I needed something that I didn't have to adjust settings for. I wanted it to work 'right out of the box' so to speak. I picked this Mediabridge 50ft HDMI cable even though some reviews said not to. I was hoping NOT to lose a connection and have it reset every 5 minutes like the other cable. This Mediabridge cable works FANTASTIC and exceeds my expectations! The cable is layed next to 11 other media cables that share the main receiver connections and computer cables without any interference. The first 25 feet of cable stretch straight from TV to BD player, then I wound the last 25 feet and secured it with wire ties to prevent accidental movement or shifting. The connections are as snug as many of the reviews indicate. If someone says that they are loose, it may be the first production cables they released. The one I received are perfect. Every BD video works fantastic, including 3D which was something new to me. It also sends audio perfectly and without a setting adjustment or electrical interference from either unit.

I am completely satisfied with this purchase and hope that it helps to 'weed' out any doubts to look further for a cable of this length to work in your application. I have had the cable connected since receiving it and has not flawed on me. I want to also add that I am an experienced 'tech geek' with home audio, video and PC experience for more than 25 years. I have helped many and hope to have helped you with this review.

This is for the 50 Foot HDMI cable. I had tried a couple others, actually more expensive long cables all with poor results, this has out performed them and at a great price.

My set-up is tricky as it is HTPC (nVidia GT 440) I need to drive 50 feet from the computer room to the living room and then it hooks to an AV receiver (Sony STR-DA2800ES) and ultimately to a 64" Plasma TV (Samsung 64F8500).

I sitll needed a in-line amp and used the Tripp Lite 24Hz model and it worked perfectly with this cable, where it did not work with the other cables I ahd tried. This was the last piece in a long road to eliminating the wireless HDMI I was using before.

I really like these cables. They perform in instances where other cables with the same specs have not. I have several of these now as I have decided there is no better cable for the price. It outperforms more expensive cables as well. Grabbed a 50' for my TV across the room and wouldn't have used anything other than Mediabridge. It's the only cable I trust to go through the trouble of buying a long cable (online), running it through my ceiling 50', and then putting my good content through it and having it work every time. Other cables have given me trouble where these never have. I also like how they seem so snug in my devices when I plug them in.

Ditched the $100 a month cable habit and bought a Roku 3. Decided to wire the Roku to my router rather than go wireless in order to minimize bandwidth problems in my house. I have two teenage boys who game almost daily, plus my laptop runs wireless, then toss in a couple of tablets and a new DS and you can see the issue. My experience shows more drain when you run devices wirelessly than when they are hardwired.

Placed the Roku in my den which is roughly 14 x 22 with the TV at one end and my seating and internet line at the other end. In order to make the cable run unobtrusive I had to run around the wall of the room which required a run of roughly 50 feet. This let me connect the Roku to my internet cable and then run the HDMI cable around the outside walls.

Ran the cable, made the connections and everything worked great. I had some concern about possible HDMI signal loss with such a long run but I noticed none. The signal is good and strong and I have no issues with quality or dropouts.

Would not hesitate to buy another cable this length if needed for another application.

This is an awesome brand... I have another hdmi cable from this company that is 15ft... The 50 ft appears to be just a bit too long as the lower quality can be visibly seen. I was unable to use it for my apple tv... the screen would have white flakes appear on it and would flash a blank randomly... I used this for u-verse box which was awesome quality... I had to use the 15 ft one for the apple tv... luckily it worked out with the placement of my projector! Great company but once you get past a certain length, I guess the quality deteriorates.

The bottom line here is it works. I've played in the HT universe for a long time - 20 years. When I started, 5.1 was the top of the line and component cables were the state of the art. One of the things I've found, and it is particularly true in home theater, is that you get 99% of the performance in most decent consumer products. This cable is a decent consumer product.

There are some variables in the use of long cables however. Most of those lie not in the cable but in the devices attached to it. I needed this to go from a Marantz SR6009 to a inexpensive projector. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it works flawlessly. Interestingly enough, not only does it work when the receiver is providing juice but also when the receiver is off and just performing 'pass-through' operations from my DVR. I discovered that on accident. Pretty darn good.

People really involved in their hobbies spend huge multiples to gain ever smaller percentages of improvements. Usually, for improvements that can only be proved on lab instruments. Oxygen-free 4 gauge speaker cables. Monster Cable interconnects of every stripe. And on and on. Some things do improve with more spend - receivers and amps and displays. Sure. Some things...don't.

Unless your goal is to go on forums and ask "Did you see an improvement when you bought..." and name-drop your new addition or to endlessly argue the pros and cons of items that make the most insignificant differences, buying good quality stuff is really all most folks need. And as much as most folks can determine any differences with.

If your goal is instead to have a great looking and sounding system - you've found the right cable, right here. As I rebuild my HT room (last one destroyed by a storm, a 120 foot tree and a negligent neighbor), I will buy other Mediabridge products. To me, that's what a recommendation is.
