In the summertime, my backyard and pool become magnets for bees and I'm always worried about kids getting stung. I heard about this product from a friend whose son got stung at the beach; the lifeguard used it to take the sting away (after the stinger had been removed) and my friend said it worked like a charm. Immediately, I went online and bought a few boxes -- at this price, I figured it was better to have them in my house, car, etc., just in case.

On the 4th of July, we had friends over, including a friend's 11-year-old daughter who had recently learned that she was highly allergic to bee stings. The last time she was stung (a month before), at school, the nurse didn't use any medicine for her and the sting caused a massive reaction; her arm swelled up to three times its normal size, and it took a week for her to fully recover.

Okay, so on the 4th of July I was really watching her and, sure enough, she got stung toward the end of the afternoon. Her mom removed the stinger, then I used this product on the remaining bump where she'd been stung. Finally, we gave her a dose of Benadryl. There were no tears, she said it didn't hurt, and within minutes everything was okay. I checked back in with them the next day and she was doing just fine, as though she'd never been stung.

I'm going to keep these with me in my car, purse, first aid kit... everywhere!
