This is an excellent resource! As a medical records coder it is important to understand all of those abbreviations used by physicians. This was a book I always had to have along with my ICD-9-CM and CPT books, and I now recommend it to any new coders that I help train.

I Hide Mine...
I have bought at least 3 earlier versions of this book. While it can't have every abbreviation, since some doctors are fond of making up their own, it still comes very close. Read more

this book has a great number of abbreviations. Unfortunately, I've already looked up a couple that are not in the book.
