4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Introduction to Medical Informatics, May 30, 2007
This review is from: Medical Informatics: Knowledge Management and Data Mining in Biomedicine (Integrated Series in Information Systems) (Hardcover)
This book focuses on the current software in use today and its application(s) in Biomedical Informatics. It is by far the best introductory overview and reference for this purpose that I have seen to date.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Core Text in Biomedical Informatics, May 22, 2009
This review is from: Medical Informatics: Knowledge Management and Data Mining in Biomedicine (Integrated Series in Information Systems) (Hardcover)
This is a good review of the research in biomedical informatics and the issues resolved and questioned by that research. If you are in biomedical informatics, I would recommend that you read this book, and if you teach biomedical informatics this should be a core text.
