5.0 out of 5 stars Great book to have handy
I am a student studying to be a medical assistant and this book is wonderful. It is small enough you can carry it to every class with you and will be helpful when you join the workforce. It has alot of information like abbreviations, acronyms for healthcare organizations and much, much more.

I like the price as well. Medical books are usually very [costly] but this is...

2.0 out of 5 stars It's okay.
Some people in my class loved it and used it all the time. I didn't find it so useful. The information is very basic and most of it I could find on the computer at the hospital much faster than flipping through this book!

I like the price as well. Medical books are usually very [costly] but this is exactly what I was looking for at a great price.

I would highly recommend this book for anyone.

I purchased this handy little pocket guide as a reference to my text two semesters ago. I am happier with this pocket guide than the text it supports. I have used this for three college course, and am still using it for my volunteer position in a SICU. I recommend this handy little guide for students in medical terminology classes or in the health information field. It serves as a quick reference and study guide.

This is the easiest book I have seen that explains the human anatomy! I highly recommend it.

I do love the book and CD itself, the book is very thorough and has alot of excellent illustrations and reviewing material. I do wish the website services were free and was supported by AOL, but otherwise this is a fantastic book and thank you.

Kindest Regards,

Desiree Gallup

5.0 out of 5 stars Decent book, March 16, 2006

What can I say, its a mini version of The Language of Medicine. It has all the terms and test and abbreviations. I have not had a chance to use it yet, but my professor who has been in the field of translation and interpreting for 16 years now, swears by it. Its even a great book to have if you are a native English speaker but cannot understand the medical mumbo-jumbo your doctor is telling you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Medical Terminology, November 27, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I recently started 2nd semester in college and my one class is Medical Terminology. The teacher suggested getting this book to be helpful in your studies. So I did and man am I glad I did. I would be lost without it. My teacher liked the new version(my book) she asked me to order her one, because the one she is has is outdated and I said I would. Very pleased with this book, and suggested it to others in the class that they should invest in one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very helpful, medical terms at your fingertips, November 27, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is a great little companion to the Medical Language text and workbook. In the Translator all of the combining forms, suffixes, prefixes, and abbrevations are there at your fingertips. It is a great reference and small enough to fit into a pocketbook. I am presently taking a Medical Terminology course and the Translator is great to use during class.
