4.0 out of 5 stars Lots of information, so few pages, February 22, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Medical Law and Ethics (3rd Edition) (Paperback)
I was impressed on how thin this book was, because the subject is so in-depth. It is an easy read for the most part, but sometimes it was boring to read. I really liked how the book used legal cases as examples throughout the textbook. After reading this book I have become a lot more aware of my surroundings in the medical field and I know there are serious consequences for breaching patient confidentiality. The review sections after each chapter are extremely helpful in reinforcing information learned in each chapter. I really liked how you were able to learn a lot from only reading a little!

3.0 out of 5 stars Conforming to HIPAA Regulations, February 7, 2007
The confusion over regulations following the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) has been met with few resources providing the basic overview required to determine office policy and practice. Fremgen's second edition accomplishes this, turning government jargon into a concise outline.
