This is a great reference book for all MTs. When I cannot find a word I think I heard, I am usually sure to find it in this book.

I've done medical transcription for many years and this book is terrific, could not have survived without it!! I just purchased Lorenzini's 5th Edition to replace my 3rd (very well-worn) Edition. It is vital in finding the correct phrase. If you can grab one word in a phrase, likely you'll find the rest with the excellent job of cross indexing. The only thing better would be an electronic version - but none is available.

i use this book and stedman's medical terms and phrases and I am usually able to find what I'm looking for between the two!

I am very glad I purchased the MPI for my medical transcription. I find phrases in it that I do not find in my Stedman's Medical Terms and Phrases book.
