I hate reading dry textbooks. We were required to read Lewis's Medical-Surgical Nursing book which is huge, heavy and has a tiny font. I tried but just couldn't bring myself to do it. I purchased this cd-rom and studied all the questions by categorized system which corresponded to whatever topic we were studying at the time in class. It hits the highlights you are expected to know. The answers to the questions asked are immediate as you go through the system of your choice (ex: integumentary, respiratory, gastro, hematologic, endocrine, cardio, fundamentals, & assessment)with well written rationales to help you learn as you "test". Bottom line, I studied these questions exclusively for my first semester of med surg and made an A and it was nearly fun! :) Am using it to retain my knowledge of med surg during the summer and to build on new information for med surg part 2 in the fall! VERY worth it to me.

For those who have never utilized the Incrediby Easy series, these books are great for review or to help make concepts less confusing, but are still *no replacement* for your textbook! :)

I purchased this a a quick reference - something to use to review key points for my Med-Surg classes. I found that the information, though all there, was difficult to muddle through. Cartoons of pills and organs smiling and giving helpful hints did nothing for me! My edition did not come with a CD either, so If you really do want this book please check this before you purchase.

If you are looking for a good Med-Surg book to help with reviews, I would highly recommend "Straight A's in Medical Surgical Nursing", ISBN 1582552843 by the same publisher. The information is almost exactly the same, and is easier to read because of a user-friendly layout. (Also comes with a CD, and costs about $10.00 less!)

I Love the CD a lot! I play with it each day like games. It's fun and provide hint and immediate feedback to your answer. I've learned a lot of info in there that weren't covered in text. A Plus for any nursing students to have.

The cd is awesome. I have both the cd and book. fortunately i was able to check out the book from the library. Honestly, the cd helped me bring up my test grades from a C and B on the 1st two tests to high A's on the following, even getting the highest grade on the third test. The cd really prepares you for the type of questions to expect in med surg.The book, you can definitely do without so dont waste your money, instead try getting the reviews and rationales book for med surg or lippincott's nclex review book. The nclex book is broken up into sections which works out wonderfully for med surg.

I am a nursing student and this book didn't help that much. It is very to the point and doesn't explain much. I wouldn't recommend this book unless you are just starting Med-Surg. I am in Med-Surg II and I don't feel that this book is very helpful.

This CD ROM is a great resource; I am using it to prepare for med surg certification and it is going well. It gives you rationales for the correct and incorrect answers for every question, so you keep learning more info with every one you do. It is in a cool animated game format to make it more fun and you can pick what categories of questions and how many you want to do with each session, then you get your score at the end. This was recommended by two different review courses I attended.

This, along with their EKG book, are my favorites in the "Incredibly Easy" series. I've been an ICU nurse for 14 years and found it a fun read for simply reviewing the basics we forget over time. Because it's so easy to read and understand, it makes it easy for the new nurse to grasp the concepts so necessary to be a successful med-surg nurse.

Another great reference tool to have for nursing students. It is simple to use. Very detailed information and makes it easy to learn just at it says. Highly recommened for anyone who needs a little extra help learning the material or just for reference.

I ordered this book using 1-click because I read the review about how great the CD was. After I clicked I realized that this book does not have a CD. It's okay, it is much easier to read than my assigned textbook (Smeltzer and Beare's Textbook of Medical Surgical Nursing)and I needed something to supplement so I will keep it. The CD, which I also bought, is nice to have.

I bought this thinking it would be a great addition to my text book reading for Med-Surg 1. It has REPLACED my text! It is so much more concise and easy to read, I just go over this and my notes before a test. This has saved so much time (which is not a resource in great abundance for nursing students). This book has saved my buns! I just wish I saved my money instead of buying the text.
