5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT Tool., August 9, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Medical Terminology AudioLearn (Audio CD)
These CD's are awesome. They break down the basis of medical terminology with explanation of all the prefixes, suffixes and root words. Then there is a list of about 500 common medical terms and their definition. I highly recommend this set to anyone studying allied health, nursing or medicine. I also bought the medical microbiology and was realy impressed.

1.0 out of 5 stars It is not worth the money. Look elsewhere, August 15, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I own this CD set and I could be doing something else with my $29.99 that I have wasted on the set. This is not worth the money and is not for someone who is studying nursing or any allied health course for that matter. I bought The audio CDs for the textbook Exploring Medical Language, 7th Edition, and it is amazing. It has over 3,000 complex medical terms and meanings while the medical terminology 2 CDs for audiolearn have 500 terms and meanings. Exploring Medical language also repeats most of the words to help you to remember the pronunciations. There are 4 CDs in the set and I paid $19.95 (ISBN 9780323050975)for it on Amazon. Once you buy those CDs you will know what I am talking about. I have not used the Medical Terminology Audiolearn CDs since I received my EML audio CDs. I just wish I had known about the Exploring Medical Language CDs before purchasing this set. I also have the EML companion book on my wish list which I hope to get soon. The EML audio CDs also have the terms and meanings divided into body systems just like your textbook would, so it is easier for you to lean the terms and their related body systems. I use the EML audio as a refresher because I have already completed my Medical Terminology class. I was hoping to use Audiolearn 2 CD set for that reason, only to find out that I know more than what is on the CDs. I would not reccomend this CD set if you are studing for any form of allied health course or if you need to be very familiar with the Medical Language. I think this is a beginner set.

2.0 out of 5 stars did not get much out of this, April 29, 2006
This review is from: Medical Terminology AudioLearn (Audio CD)
All the cd's seem to do is say a term, and its definition. Did not help me much. Will try some other way of learning.
