As a nursing student, I have to put a ton of time into memorizing anatomical terms and the names of different medical conditions. Medical Terminology For Dummies really helped me through some of my courses as a desk reference because it has really quick and easy-to-remember definitions, a plus when you're having to study for an exam and your textbooks are thousands of pages long. I would definitely recommend this book to medical and nursing students, and others in the medical community that need a handy and easy-to-use desk reference.

This book was integral to my success in completing my terminology course. The sections on breaking down words and learning how to organize the body in a logical and smart way were a major help in my preparation. I will definitely look to for dummies in the future when I need a good reference!

I got this book because I am changing careers and learning Medical billing. I am taking a Coding class right now and thought I would learn Terminology on my own time to help with the class Im taking.....and I cannot putthis book down, it is so EASY to read and understand, and this is from someone who knows nothing about Medical Terms. I love this book, and it is really helping me undersstand my current classwork.

I would recommend everyone going into this field to buy this book.

I don't own one single Dummies book that I have not been impressed with. You will love the author, although this is a somewhat serious subject, she makes it fun to learn and I have giggled out loud in areas reading it. I bought this to help with teaching my students. I teach Herbalism and it's important to understand Medical Terminology to safe guard the patient and yourself when practicing. Medications and herbs can cause adverse reactions or kill the effects of medicines and that would be a bad thing. So, to be good at what you are doing, know all that you can and what you can't remember, Have a good book on hand. Knowledge is power, and with great power is great responsibility so respect it and know where to find the knowledge. You will enjoy learning from this book and it takes a serious subject and puts it into prospective for you in an easy unconfusing way.

I am studying to become an MT and was quite daunted by learning medical terminology. (It really is a foreign language.) This book broke down medical terminology in an easy-to-understand format. I would recommend this book to anyone needing to learn medical terminology on their own.

This helped me in so many ways. The Doctor's writing was not readable but I found the terminology easy with this product. Thanks for making a book just for me.

This book really breaks the terms down and shows you how the words are put together. It makes it easier to rember all the terms if you understand how each part has a meaning. Good for anyone learning medical terms.

In my past life I had been a Certified Athletic Trainer, and had taken medical terminology very early in my career. But I have been a science teacher for 10 years and now find myself lacking work. Thus thoughts of a allied health career again prompted me to purchase this book. I bought the kindle version. This after many years of not working with these terms on a daily basis was the perfect solution to start up again. This book is nice and simple to refresh oneself in (or learn new) medical terminology, worth getting to warm up again. Get the more intense books etc after this one to move forward in one's level of medical terminology.
