"Clueless out of Date",

This review is from: Medicare For The Clueless: The Complete Guide to This Federal Program (Clueless Guides) (Paperback)
This book is of little use because it was published before several major changes to the Medicare program, most notably the introduction of Part D, the prescription drug benefit.

Not Clueless At All,

This review is from: Medicare For The Clueless: The Complete Guide to This Federal Program (Clueless Guides) (Paperback)
Just a quick review to tell folks that as a Medicare expert I've read and scanned dozens of books and hundreds of articles on this program, and have advised hundreds of consumers on Medicare issues, and haven't seen any consumer guide as good as this one. It is full of important and useful information. I cannot recommend it too highly except that, as noted by a previous reviewer, it is now eight years old and out of date in some important respects. In particular, the Medicare Prescription Drug Program and Medicare Advantage are huge changes. That said, it remains a really good guide to original Medicare. I have no doubt that if the author revised this book I would give it five stars.
