Hard To Put Down,
By Sara (Getzville, New York) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The di Medici Bride (Mira Romance) (Paperback)
This novel was a truly interesting read. I found it hard to put down. After a month of reading non-fiction, I was over-whelmed with the greatness of this novel. I found it a great combination of mystery, action, and romance. I greatly enjoyed the mystery in Marco's persona and if you ever have a spare hour or two, I highly reccommend that you read this novel.

Exciting but far-fetched,

I enjoyed reading this book, although the storyline was a little far-fetched, and dragged at times. It was worth finishing, my type of ending.

Enjoyable Read,

I really enjoyed this story. I liked the chemistry between Marcus and Christina as well as the setting in Italy. There was also a good suspense story linked to the romance.

preposterous,
By princehal "princehal" (Vienna Austria) - See all my reviews

I picked up this book because it was set in Venice and it's a city I love. To give the author credit, at least she didn't have cars pulling up in Piazza San Marco. That is about the extent of her knowledge of Venice. You'd think with an Italian name like Pozzessere she'd know better. I was disappointed by her use of 'via' for calle, which the streets of Venice are called. There is only one piazza in Venice, the Piazza San Marco; all the other squares are called a 'campo', yet the author calls every square a piazza. It should be 'de Medici' not 'di Medici--I could go on and on. Chris, the ditzy heroine hails a gondola for a ride any time she needs one. Anyone who has taken a gondola ride knows they don't come along like water taxis and they cost at least 50 euros for just a short ride. The art gallery, where so much of the book takes place, must be the easiest gallery to break into in the world. But the most outrageous thing in the book are the underground catacombs at the palazzo. How could catacombs exist in the water? There are so many egregious errors in this book that the story takes a back seat. Marcus is a rather appealing, though slick hero. This is a very silly book.
