He was said to be one of the top two or three LDS medical historians and this book, Medicine and the Mormons, is a landmark contribution to both Mormon and medical history.He was Assistant Medical Librarian at Vanderbilt University from 1954 to 1956, Assistant Professor of Library Science and Medical Librarian at the University of Utah from 1956 to 1962 and Medical Sciences Librarian at the University of New Mexico from 1963 - 1977.
