5.0 out of 5 stars RX: Take in liberal doses to reach tranquility
I purchased this CD years ago when it was first released. I fell in love with peaceful sounds produced by this brilliant group and their amazing instruments. I have been a fan ever since. In Medicine River helped me heal from a very distressing time in my life. It truly can bring you to a tranquil place. If you live near a mountain, I recommend taking this CD and simply...

2.0 out of 5 stars Early CO, seen better
This CD sounds like alot of experimental sounds before Coyote Oldman really nailed their core droning sounds as in House Made of Dawn and Thunder Chord. It just does not sound like they hit their core sounds in this CD. Maybe good for it's time and good for those who want a complete CO inventory. But for the type of droning sound at CO's core this is not it.

I purchased this CD years ago when it was first released. I fell in love with peaceful sounds produced by this brilliant group and their amazing instruments. I have been a fan ever since. In Medicine River helped me heal from a very distressing time in my life. It truly can bring you to a tranquil place. If you live near a mountain, I recommend taking this CD and simply rock-sitting. Also, my masseuse loves using this CD to relax clients and add to the effectiveness of their massage therapy. I would recommend following this CD with Teardrop of the Moon, but I would definitely begin with In Medicine River.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect, May 1, 2003

I'm new to Coyote Oldman, but this
Cd is a great introduction. As I assume his
other releases are, this is a very quiet and
meditative album. Reminds me of the quieter
side of O Yuki Conjugate. Light percussions
and melodius flute - Recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars My favorite for massage!, March 16, 2006
This review is from: In Medicine River (Audio CD)
I am a massage therapist and I play this CD EVERY SINGLE DAY as I work! This is the only CD that I can listen to over and over. My clients often ask what the wonderful music is and many of them have purchased this CD after hearing it in my massage room. I just think it is incredibly relaxing and melodious. I recommend it highly!
