The picture shown is exactly what you get. It hooks to the scabbard of your sword the exact way shown in the picture. It can be adjusted some to sit higher or lower on the scabbard depending on how you want it to rest against your back. Durable construction in excellent condition and works perfectly. Definitely needed if you're not looking to hold your sword all evening at a costume party or cosplay event.

If you are a harried Mom, like me, you ordered this without reading carefully that the sword pictured here is not included. My 11 yr. old son found this on Amazon and wanted it for a Halloween costume of Link. I ordered it, and when it arrived, we were both disappointed to find only the belt. It's a high quality belt. It claims to be leather and it certainly looks like it is, very thick and sturdy. It is supposed to go over the shoulder like a sash and hold the sword. Even though it is adjustable, it is still too big on my slim, medium-height son. I hope this helps other harried parents out there.

I then tried to buy the sword that goes with this belt and Amazon doesn't sell it at this time.

The strap is really nice, and very sturdy. The slits for the sword and for the excess belt strap are adjustable by buttons, which are a bit hard to push back together, but it's worth the trouble so your sword doesn't fall out. I tried it out with one of my other cosplay swords; it fit very tightly (this sword was a Mugen Shirasaya, so it had no guard), and it didn't fall out once. Will be using for my Link cosplay for a convention around here. Highly recommended for any Link cosplayer!
