Alright, first, some of the other purchasers seem puzzled by the nature of chainmail itself. Chainmail *conforms* to your body type. Hence, if you're a tall, skinny guy -- the chainmail is going to seem long & lean.

Me, I'm a chubby, out-of-shape guy who tends towards 2x and 3x shirts. This chainmail fits me fine. My only problem is that I have the most ginormous skull you'll ever see -- and had a bit of difficulty fitting it through the neck opening of the chainmail. Actually solved the problem by using wire cutters to remove a few links and loosen the collar. However, this is not a flaw with the product. This is a flaw with my truly gargantuan head.

I'm very pleased with this armor. Yes, the links are not perfectly joined. At this price, one wouldn't expect them to be. However, for costume purposes, it's absolutely perfect. And it's the cheapest I've seen *anywhere*. Particularly given that you receive a coife as well as the hauberk.

Again, I'm completely pleased. It arrived fast, and it's just a shame they seem to be out of stock. Must be a close out item.

I ordered this as I work in a rough neighborhood. My boss was stabbed recently outside the office; and another colleague was shot last year. As I have to walk a bit from the bus; I needed some added protection. I purchases this item; and it looks fantastic. I get some odd stares on the bus- but it is pretty intimidating. The other day; I was mugged and feeling brash in my armor, I told the guy off. Well- needless to say he went after me. The knife didn't get through the armor at all. The blade broke- and rather than being stabbed-- I was pushed over and kicked several times before the mugger ran off.

The only downside is that it is heavy; and it took me about 5 minutes of rolling around on the ground before I could stand up.

I ordered this for my son who has wanted one forever. I was worried that it may end up being junk because the price was so low (5 - 6 hundred is average cost) but ordered it anyway. It is BEAUTIFUL and he was not disappointed at all. I was worried that it would be really small but it fit him nicely (he is slim and tall - 6'4") and hangs to just above his knees and the arm length fit perfectly. I could not be happier with this purchase - I just don't know how they can sell so cheap! I ordered a "used" one but it looks brand new.

I couldnt be more pleased. The order came much sooner than expected and everything was as described. I expect this to be a great costume for years to come. It fit me fine (5'10" 220lbs) as well as a friend who was here when the order came (5'8" 245lbs)

I was concerned that, given the price, it would be cheap. I was happily surprised! The rings are machined, but it looks terrific. You can expect to pay three times the price for a similar piece on other sites. Probably too small for someone over a size "large", unless slim of build. The rings are steel, so it's heavy! I recommend it highly.

The first shipment evidently got lost in the mail- how ironic :)! Good communication & customer support though, and eventually I got the suit. It definitely meets my needs & expectations. I teach junior high world history, and wanted to give a tactile feel & touch to our lessons about Medieval times, the Crusades, etc.. This set weighs a full 30 lbs., which is pretty accurate. It's obviously not of "handmade" quality, but very nice for the price.

I am very pleased with this item. Even though they list it as decorative item, it will protect your body from cuts and to a lesser extent from stabs. This item is limited though to only that. But even so, this item is VERY GOOD for the price.

And just a fair warning! Some chain mail in history as well as some modern chain mail has been known to rust if it wasn't well maintained. I do not know yet if this one will rust or not though.

This chain mail is pretty cool. its relatively light, fits good also. there is just one minor problem i wear this when i practice sword fighting with padded practice swords and after about ten minutes there were like 10 to 20 rings on the ground which i didn't think was that big of a deal but now im afraid this product will totally fall apart after a few weeks of practice that's why i gave it three stars but other than that i think its alright.

Both hauberk and coif for $85? Amazing. Just amazing. Sure, it's obviously mass-produced. Some of the links aren't as perfectly closed (they certainly aren't fused together) as they might be in a superior handcrafted suit. But such a suit will cost you five times as much as this one. If that hefty price tag alone has kept your squishy flesh vulnerable to slashing damage, then look no further. This is a beautiful piece of armor. I had wanted one since I was a small child and I am more than satisfied with it.

And now just about everyone can afford to! If there is anything more satisfying than geeking out, then it is most certainly geeking out on a budget.

Thrilled with this product. I may have to do some conditioning to wear it comfortably as it weighs over 25 pounds! I am 6'3" with long arms and a slender build. The mail shapes to your body but the sleeves are a tad short on me, better than being too long, however. For the price you cant go wrong and this will certainly be a hit at parties/funerals/grocery store/beach.
