This shield was a dream come true for my oldest boy. He is 6 years old and the shield comes up right to his chin. He is now a real Roman! The shield is nicely made, well painted and is very lite. My son can carry it with relative ease. There are no sharp edges, sharp screw tips or any potential cutting edges on the shield. It is a durable product. My other two boys can't wait for their birthdays now....I will have to contact this same company to see about Viking & Egyptian Shields.....
