A few years ago, i wrote a college paper on the female body/ thoughts about pregnancy in medieval times. It was a time when women were midwives and took care of medical issues... (when later, the medical field would become male-dominated.)

This book was not only the BEST book on the subject ... but really one of the only ones i could find.
