great tongs
Medina River Outdoors 50 River Gator Bar B Q Tongs This is a great pair of tongs. I use them to move charcoal briquetts from the fire to the dutch ovens. I highly reccomend them. good price also. thanks, B. B.

Not what they used to be
I had bought a pair of these alligator tongs from Sportsman's Warehouse several years back, and was very impressed with them. Sturdy. Durable. So were my river buddies. So I was pleased when I found them online, and bought 6 pairs to hand out to my envious friends. Well, I was a bit disappointed when the tongs arrived - they are made from lighter material (about 2/3...

I had bought a pair of these alligator tongs from Sportsman's Warehouse several years back, and was very impressed with them. Sturdy. Durable. So were my river buddies. So I was pleased when I found them online, and bought 6 pairs to hand out to my envious friends. Well, I was a bit disappointed when the tongs arrived - they are made from lighter material (about 2/3 the thickness of my original pair) and just don't seem to have the same "manliness" to them. They might as well be pink in color. They function the same as the original, but why make them lighter? To save a little bit of aluminum? Yeah, I'm disappointed.
