3.0 out of 5 stars Modern Medicine aka MediSin, November 16, 2005
By
The RAWSISTAZ Reviewers (RAWSISTAZ.com and BlackBookReviews.net) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Medisin (Paperback)
The authors of MEDISIN have gone to great pains to document how
modern medicine has been corrupted by greed so much so that it has
become a sin-MediSin. I'd always wondered why doctors didn't just
use the natural treatments that many of our older relatives used,
worked for centuries, and are safe. The answer to that question and
many more are in MEDISIN. A few of the topics analyzed are the
history behind the removal of natural medical applications such as
Homeopathy, the origin of disease, prescribed drugs, vaccinations,
preservatives in our food, and the safety of our drinking water.

Revealed in the final third of the book are cures for the medical
sins discussed in the early portions of the book. Truths and myths
about nutrition were explained. Breakdowns of what food combinations
are good and bad and why were also listed. For example, proteins and
starches usually don't make for a good combination; read the book to
find out why those steak and potato folks are in trouble. Stress and
stress management were discussed along with several other topics.

MEDISIN is full of interesting and useful information in an easy to
understand format. The authors cited sources, making it simple for
readers to do their own research if they so choose. My area of
contention with MEDISIN was the tone. I love a good conspiracy as
well as the next guy, but the authors spent so much time "preaching"
about the evils of modern medicine and the greedy folks running it
that they diminished their own message-a message I agree with. What
I'm sure is a passion for what the writers' believe in came off more
as anger that people aren't listening to them. I recommend MEDISIN.
I suggest starting at chapter 34, Solutions to MediSin, and read to
the end of the book. Then read the introduction through chapter 33.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Read!, May 11, 2006
By
This review is from: Medisin (Paperback)
Medisin is one book I would recommend to all whom I come in contact. It's not only loaded with healthy information but there are morsels of history thrown in as well. Does "Bayer" ring a bell? What is happening here? Are we in the business of making people well or keeping them ill? What happens when we become so immersed in greed and money that God is written out (X) of the script. We perish! Information is power, people, so read, get informed so you can teach your children, family, etc. Back to Eden: back to natural growing of foods, colonic irrigation, and eating organic, wholesome foods is the way to heal ourselves back to health. Dr. Whitaker quoted Thomas Jefferson, who said, "When the government fears its people you have liberty, when the people fear the government you have tyranny." So, we do have a choice in how we live . . . or die.
