This book gives us the promise that meditation is easy. In many practices we are told to focus on an object (even being a thought or a word) so that our mind can become still. Swami Muktananda uses plain language and stories to provide methods for turning our attention inward so that the "object" of our meditation is the Self. He includes valuable information on how to "deal with the mind" - with Mantra, Asana and Pranayama. Having taken yoga training from a great teacher in the Siddha lineage, I can tell you that this is a tried and true method. Quit chasing your monkey mind and just sit. There is a section of instructions to tell you how to set up your meditation practice so that it becomes a habit you will honor. You will be amazed at the depth you can reach with this practice. In this second addition, Gurumayi Chidvilasananda included more words and stories to lead you to your own inner treasure...

The only problem I noticed with this publication was the phrase,"copyrighted material", was stamped at the bottom of the pages sometimes obscuring the print making it difficult to read.
