I've been interested in meditation for a while as a few of my friends do it. One of these friends recently loaned me a book that I absolutely couldn't make head or tail of, hence here I am.

This book is informative and a well written guide without getting bogged down in complicated terminology or procedures. It takes you through meditation in easy to understand step by step procedure and explains why you should do it and the benefits to you and your relationships with others. There's lots of tips on meditation itself and other ways to eliminate stress from your life.

All in all a really worthwhile read, many thanks!

This is a very good and simple book on the subject of meditation. I found it very helpful. Even though it's short it gives several very useful exercises, which add to the overview of the subject of meditation. For someone like me just starting out and looking to be introduced to the subject this book was a great primer.

I found this book very helpful and enlightening. I have never heard of this method of meditating before but am looking forward to trying it. My only issue with the book is that it wasn't edited properly. Some of the sentences were hard to understand.

sitting still isn't so very bad. Seriously: when was the last time you sat still, without music, without reading something, without TV on... just sat there? I can't remember either , this book came in a really good time.

This book is short, that you know if you look at the details. What you may not realize is that it is written in a stilted form of English which makes it unpleasant to read. Generally you can get the idea, but it would be much better if the writer was fluent - I assume English is a second language. Even if not, perhaps a good editor could fix it, and there are errors as well as a lack of flow, so I must assume no editor was employed.

The book's contents don't do a lot to inform, though the writer is full of encouragement. If you are interested, you would do better and not miss anything to buy a different book.
