5.0 out of 5 stars Meditation for Dummies September 6, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I took a TM (Transcendental Meditation) course in 1976 - I have read and studied about many other forms of meditation, along with my practice of TM for many years. I took an Eastern Religion course when I was in my 30's. Now in my 70th year, I enjoy reading books well written. This is an excellent book - I highly recommend it to anyone who has an interest in meditation - not specificially TM. It is a practical book - and easy to absorb.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good for starters July 26, 2012
By Tep
Format:Kindle Edition
I was new to meditation.
With this book, I was able to understand what is meditation, and how to quickly get the most from it.
Now I'm more relaxed and if some nights I can't sleep, with meditation I solve all my problems.
It's really a book for everyone, simple to read and apply, and if you don't like some chapters, you can skip them without worries not to understand the next chapters.

3.0 out of 5 stars Buyer beware! March 5, 2011
By kaw
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Be aware that some of the information on this page refers to the hardcopy version of Meditation for Dummies, not to what you're actually buying. The list price is not $24.99, and this e-book does not have 360 pages or its digital equivalent. I haven't looked at the mini-edition long enough to know whether it's any good--just long enough to know that it's not what's being impliedly presented for sale.

3.0 out of 5 stars It's okay as an introduction. May 22, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is an overview and has some good information, but the full edition of the book is so great, I would recommend buying it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Short and sweet February 17, 2013
By Mark
Format:Kindle Edition
This is a quick and short explanation on meditation. If you want to better understand the basics this book is the gateway to meditation. Intermediate and beyond will not find this of use but should recommend to others interested in a way to reduce stress, increase focus and relax. I now use this approach prior to sleep and I am more rested than ever.

5.0 out of 5 stars Super information for in all areas! January 14, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This mini edition touches upon all areas of beginner meditation that one might be curious on and need some clarification or information about. I myself have been meditating for about a year now, but never, until recently, sought out professional advice on how to meditate, or the benefits of meditation. I thoroughly enjoyed this book while receiving valuable information on the topic I was seeking, which I found very important. I feel this mini version went over enough points that I do not have to purchase the full version. All in all this is a very informative, well put together book.
