5.0 out of 5 stars Buddha freed from an old past
To listen to this original recording is an experience in itself. This audiobook is not just a talk, it feels like an experience of Buddha and his message.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not so inspiring
I tried to give this a listen, wanting to broaden my horizons a bit. However, I found I could not take his 'teachings' very seriously given his wildly inaccurate 'facts' about hypnosis which he uses to support some of his beliefs. I found it as if someone was trying to prove the existence of God by using as evidence the fact that the sky is green. If your evidence is...

If your evidence is that faulty I have a hard time listening to the rest of your argument. After getting through the first tape I skipped the second. I'm sure there is better material out there.

5.0 out of 5 stars New ways of thinking, open mind a must, February 27, 2011
Osho's talk on Buddha is not for those who don't have an open mind and think that life is just black or white and that everything, even our actions, are simply good or bad. He provides an insight into some aspects of Buddhism which isn't directly thaught even if your practicing with a Sangha, unless their is a discussion group with very enlightening individuals. In response to the negative responsis before. Buddhism isn't a religion or a philosophy as many sources report like Wikipedia, it is more of a way of life and a sadonta(spelling) as Osho mentions. One must realize that cyclical existence is the repeated patterns which all sentient beings go through within one life cyclic and the whole of life cycles. That is Osho meaning of Circular time, yes the clock hands go around, earth spins on its axis circular and we spin around the sun which spins around within our galaxy, Einstein realized this well before it was proven. We cannot go back in the past but life and it patterns repeat themself. This aspect involves the process of souls going from one life cycle to another. If you cannot phantom this idealology then yes U will have difficulty with Buddhism. Thats okay though Christian have trouble living a Christian life too, I have too according to the doctorine they follow. Buddhism is totally different and one has to want to change before it can be realized from a westerner's perspective. Good Luck and may U all realize the traps of this existence and oneday U too will become Enlightened to break free from this cycle.
Namaste

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Meditations on Buddhism by Osho (Audio Cassette)
Reading a previous "review" i bought this, it is a complete waste of audiotape.. Osho changed his name from Rajneesh after the scandal(s), didn't know who he was when i bought this. Avoid it.
