5.0 out of 5 stars And so my journey began...
I remember walking through a bookshop a couple of years ago and seeing Conversations with God - it caught my eye with it's sparse cover and confronting title. A staunch athiest, after a youth of "Christian" schooling, I picked it up, had a quick flick through and scoffed, "Guy talks to God, what a crock!" and dumped it back on the shelf.

3.0 out of 5 stars A little too light for me
I received this book in a timely manner and in
excellent condition. My disapointment was due
to my personal expectations and nothing else.
It is a nice little book. Nothing eye opening,
profound or different enough for me.

5.0 out of 5 stars And so my journey began..., January 17, 2000
I remember walking through a bookshop a couple of years ago and seeing Conversations with God - it caught my eye with it's sparse cover and confronting title. A staunch athiest, after a youth of "Christian" schooling, I picked it up, had a quick flick through and scoffed, "Guy talks to God, what a crock!" and dumped it back on the shelf.

Six months later I walked into another bookshop and picked up a book because it's soft yellow colour caught my eye - It was "Meditations From Conversations with God". Oh dear, not that again. I opened it and lost my breath. The page was July 1 - my birthday, and I read, "I do not make a judgement about the creations that you conjure. I simply empower you to conjure more-and more and more and more".

This statement rang purely and profoundly true, to me. I bought that book and never looked back. My soul leeching job in advertising was discarded and replaced with a year of adventure and travel and now, less than two years after picking up "Meditations...", I teach meditation and spirituality and write full time - and still dip into my well worn yellow book for love and guidance from time to time.

5.0 out of 5 stars changed my life, August 28, 1998
By A Customer
I came upon this book by "accident", read it many times, and turned to it in times of joy and sorrow. It has shaped my being, taught me how to frame every experience - to see the experience I can have - what I can make of each hardship and gift to become closer to God and become the person I have the potential to be. This book has comforted, surprised, and challenged me. I look forward to moving ahead in my journey through life. I'm not afraid, but rather excited and connected.

5.0 out of 5 stars Profound Insights to Remember, November 29, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Meditations from Conversations With God (Paperback)
"Meditations from Conversations with God" is actually a book containing many of the most profound insights contained within the CWG trilogy. I found this book to be extremely helpful in bringing these points back up to the surface for me. And, lest I "forget" them again, I actually typed up a list of the insights that resonated most strongly for me - so that I can take more time to ponder/meditate on them in the coming months. You may want to do something similar - as it seems too easy to forget their importance/significance when life seems to "get in the way".

Many different topics are "discussed", including (but not limited to): universal truths, the spiritual path, feelings, mortality, self-awareness, money & relationships

I also have to say that I loved the black & white photos that are included throughout this book. They are absolutely beautiful!

Overall, I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoyed the CWG books, as well as those who're interested in various spiritual principles - it has a lot to offer!

5.0 out of 5 stars This book speaks to me..., February 4, 2000
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It's amazing how on the money it is for the day! Gave me many insights... In case the editor/author/publisher reads this, I would enjoy a perpetual flip calendar version of this book even more!

5.0 out of 5 stars I am speaks, truth, joy, love, I am inspired, February 13, 1999
By A Customer
it's very contradicational to our everyday teachings, but the truth is the truth, I was moved by a God that is really loving and practical towards His creation. I can see the truth in it all.

Truly inspired, in a question and answer format, the content of this book addresses the most basic questions we have about the meaning of life. It rings with truth.

4.0 out of 5 stars Gift type book of select passages from Conversations w/God, October 15, 2007
This review is from: Meditations from Conversations With God (Paperback)
This is a book of excerpts from various "Conversations With God" Series books. There are ten chapters of 'meditations' which includes brief passages on different topics. For example, the 'Mediations on Feelings' contains topics on the subjects of truth, love & fear, grief and anger and etc. The passages vary in length from a few lines to a couple of small paragraphs, and there are black & white pictures adjacent to the passages.

This is nice for what it is, which is a gift type book. It's something you could pick up now and again and get a little dose of inspiration, or something to think on. If you have read and liked CWG books, you'll most likely enjoy this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Expands your perceptions of God, takes him out of the box..., March 31, 1998
This book expanded my christian foundation to include a new perspective on how God or the Universe affects our day to day lives. Choices and consequences, not necessarily rights and wrongs.

I love the three CONVERSATIONS WITH GOD, I am
reading them all again for the fourth time and
it is always like the first, never ending. My
intention is to re-read them on into eternity.
I smile and feel good when I think about that
and if I should get too old, I will have some-
one read them to me and I'll still be smiling.
