This survey is well written and very well organized. I found the photos of trucks pre-1940 to be especially
interesting, although i would have preferred to have viewed more contemporaneous shots with period backgrounds
as opposed to photos of restorations, taken -of course - years after manufacture.

As the genre goes, this volume is very satisfying.

I bought this for my father-in-law and he likes it a lot. I would have liked to see more color photos but it was still interesting for him.

I bought this seeking an organized visual overview of lighter duty Ford commercial trucks, and the C-series "Tilt Cabs" in particular. While I don't dispute the authors genuine enthusiasm for, and knowledge of Ford trucks, in my opinion the book suffers in places from a lack of editing to avoid, for example, consecutive sentences that begin with "This." Most disappointing --in chapter 7, the author writes that in 1957, Ford introduced the C-series "Tilt cabs" but there is no photo of a C-series rig until the next chapter, 11 pages later, and then it is of a restored truck.
Instead of offering specific nuggets of data, photo captions often point out the obvious, such as on p. 41 where a restored truck is displayed, and we are informed, "The owner of this restored 1947 Ford truck is so proud of it he displays his truck at truck shows with this custom signboard." That much is obvious--please give us something significant about that particular truck model! I also wish there was more use of original or period photos, rather than truck show displays, but that is minor.
I do not regret buying the book, but I believe it could have been better.

Very interesting book. The photos and text complment each other. Easy to read.
