The other reviewer is probably correct, as there are probably not a lot of people outside of the U.K. that have heard of Jadis. This CD collects demos and alternate takes from the first fifteen-or-so years of the band, including the period where Martin Orford and John Jowitt (of IQ) left and were replaced by Steve Hunt and Mike Torr. That being said, there's still some good stuff here, even for those who would lump Jadis into the category of being just another bland neo-prog band.

Medium Rare is an interesting compilation of tracks that primarily interest people who are already fans of the band. Fans will recognize many of the tunes from their earlier CDs. What you get here are demos, B sides, live cuts and other curiosities. Some of them are pretty good. "Old and Wise," the last track, covers an Alan Parsons tune. Gary Chandler's guitar solo stands in for the saxophone on it.

I bought it for track 2, All in One Day. And track 2 is really awesome. It's great prog. And I can't find which original album the song comes from. Anyway, on another note; another great Jadis song is I Never Noticed, from the Fanatic album, but I don't need that album cause I have the song from the 3rd CD sampler that came with the special edition Spock's Beard 3 CD set of Feel Euphoria.
