I loved Medium well done! This book had everything you could ever want in a story. Romance, great humor, suspense and a little paranormal touch thrown in for good measure. I literally laughed out loud several times in this story and wondered where the twists would lead me and seriously never saw the ending coming. It was a huge surprise that caught me off guard. I loved the great sexual tension between the main characters that builds as they dance around each other in their quest to find the answers to they are searching for, and those answers mean one thing! Road trip as the clues they are given lead them on a chase across the country as time runs against them in the race to find important answers before they are silences by forever by those who want those answers to remain hidden.

I loved the whole psychic twist to the story as clues and bits important things are revealed those who communicate with Lena from those passed on to the next realm of the living. It all adds up to lots of fun and exciting plot lines. I really loved Lena and David and I thought it was fun to see them fall for each other slowly as they raced to find the answers that would keep them and those they love alive.

Don't miss out on this great fast paced, fun read! I loved it from the first to last line. I look forward to more of Liza Jane's exciting stories and can't wait for the next one to come out.

I love mysteries. Love romance. Love some paranormal. Love some twists. This book had it all, although I did figure out who the mystery man was about half way through the book. That did not distract from the story, though, as I kept doubting myself. There was sexual tension but it was nice, not way too graphic like so many books. Others have given a description of the story, so I won't repeat that. I will mention what I haven't read in the other reviews, and that is there was some spirituality in the book also. Discussion about heaven and God .... it was NOT a heavy theme in the book but popped up from time to time, in a paragrah here or there, and only enhanced my reading pleasure. I happen to be going through a rough time right now with the recent death of my husband and I felt like I was meant to be reading this book and gaining comfort from it. Obviously, it is a work of fiction BUT it gave me glimpses of hope and peace and the wonders of heaven and lightened my heart when I needed it. This book was my first by this author but I will be looking at her other books now.

I am giving this book 5 stars for the easy flow of the storyline and the great characters. This is the first book I have read by Liza Jane, but I am going to search for some other books. I loved the storyline using a medium. I will be recommending this book to my family & friends.

Warning! Don't start reading this story if you have to get up in the morning, or have something important to do, or your kids want you to pay attention to them! Faced paced page turner with mystery, suspense, a sprinkling of ghosts and laugh out loud dialogue. A really fun escape...and I was sad when it ended. Sequel???

First time I have read a book by author Liza Jayne. It was interesting, and I finished it in almost one sit-down.
I will check out some of her other books as well.

I liked this book. It was a little predictable but that is okay. I don't believe in ghosts but I do like to read a good mystery and paranormal is just an added bonus. (A little sci-fy) This also had the romance angle. It was a nice light read. I recommended it to several people.

When rich businessman David Monroe was first contacted by a woman claiming to have information about his recently deceased brother, David never had a ghost of a chance. Lena Phillips, claiming psychic abilities that puts her in touch with the dead, wasn't looking for adventure or a new love interest, but in "Medium Well Done" she finds both, and readers get to go along for the ride.
Author Liza Jayne's most recent romantic adventure tale follows on the heels of "Montana Escape" which also had contemporary characters escaping dangers and unsuccessfully avoiding the pitfalls of passion. In "Medium Well Done" the complications include helpers and harmers from the great beyond, reachable through the unusual interventions of lead character Lena and some of her parapsychic pals.
It takes multiple murders here in this commonplace plane of existence to topple the dominoes that bring the non-believing David into the celestial orbit of Lena, a science teacher and single mother juggling mundane life chores with occasional contacts involving those who have passed. David's deceased brother won't leave Lena alone in her dreams, and eventually Lena occupies the lustful waking dreams of David.
As the two work toward solving the murder mysteries, they find that powerful forces are working against them - on both sides of heaven's gates. And in any one-and-done story, there's no telling in advance if all or any of the main characters survive until the end. (One can be reasonably certain that James Bond will be alive and kicking at the end of every 007 story.)
A solid entry in Liza Jayne's body of work (including her Lisa Cooke persona within the historical romance genre), "Medium Well Done" serves up plenty of suggestive sizzle with a side order of mystery adventure, adding a mix of other-worldly weirdness. One can fondly hope for future novels by this promising writer, with growing levels of nuance and proficiency building upon the substantial foundation of her early works. Well done indeed.
