We got these dry wipes to use with water (in squeeze bottles) to clean during diaper changes, and the hospital we gave birth at did the same.

Despite companies like BabyGanics "suggesting" their wipes are organic, their wipes are full of chemicals known to cause cancer in REPRODUCTIVE organs during lab testings. Where are these wipes meant to be used on??

Of course, lab testing may involve excess amounts of a given chemical, but since plain water does a fine job of cleaning with these soft wipes (and no added perfume), why use potentially toxic chemicals?

In any case, these wipes are fantastic. They're soft and absorbent, don't rip or pill, yet wipe away your baby's unwelcome gifts easily and cleanly. Note that the wipes are folded in quarters (half, then half again), not as single-ply as in the picture. I usually fold it once again for diaper duty, so it works out fine.

I've actually also taken to using these wipes as makeshift bibs (much easier to fold these half-under the collar, then toss after spit-ups, rather than constantly wash a limited number of bibs which don't even cover the sides properly), as bathing cloths (1 sheet holds up through entire bath, and then some), as burp cloths, as general cleaning cloths (much better than paper towels, which pill and rip), as coasters that don't stick to glasses/bottles, etc. I'll definitely keep a supply for misc use, even after our babies have grown up.

In 2 months with our newborn (and miscellaneous uses above), we've gone through almost 2.5 boxes (500 wipes per box) already, but I'm a bit anal and unnecessarily use 2-4 wipes per diaper change, so YMMV (figure 1 box per month). Each box contains 10 plastic packs of 50 wipes.

FYI, I've had 3 separate orders (1, 4, & 2 boxes, respectively) via the seller "Corydor" (Prime, Fulfilled by Amazon), but the orders show as having been sold/shipped from "YGM". No issues with any of the shipments.

I also recommend buying a bunch of chux (aka: blue pads, wee wee pads) to put under the baby during diaper changes / potential spit-ups:

I have been looking for a disposable wash cloth to remove my makeup. I ordered these and am pleased with them....they are very gentle and the price is certainly right.

The hospital infant care class recommended dry wipes with plain water for precious newborn bums instead of wet wipes which have other added ingredients. The ones we used while in the hospital were the best-- thick, absorbent, and soft, but the nurses didn't know the brand. When we got these in the mail, they felt soft, and were about the same size, but seemed to be made of polyester-type material instead of cotton. When using them, I found that the folded wipe rolls on itself, if you don't hold it a particular way. Not hard to do, but a small hassle. I will continue to look for an all cotton version instead, perhaps the flushable ones. Unfortunately the product descriptions don't explicitly say what materials are used!

With all the rave reviews on this product being soft, absorbent, strong, and no lint, I wonder if we are all getting the same product. These wipes are not absorbent, and they can be torn in half easily, leaving long strands of wispy thin fiber. These same fibers are left on my face after I use these wipes as a washcloth. It feels as though I just walked through a spider web. Not pleasant! There is no Medline logo or any information on the external wrapping for these wipes; just a single Amazon inventory sticker denoting "ULTRASOFT1013".

Washcloths are very soft and durable. They arrived sooner than the delivary date and are a product I will order again. They are being used to care for an elderly parent with incontinence issues - very good for sensitive skin.

I use it on my newborn to clean her while changing diaper and during bath time. I love how soft and durable the washcloth is.

When in Germany, I was surprised to find that they don't supply wash rags in the hotel rooms there. We found some disposable wash cloths in a drug store over there, and, never having known they existed, I found that I really like having them. They are great to have at the gym for shower time, or at home if there is a pet incident that requires an emergency bath. These rags are just right - strong and durable enough to get you through a shower or other single use with a rinse out or two, but not so rugged that you feel bad throwing them away after the single use. This package will probably be a lifetime supply, but turned out by far to be the best value among disposable washcloths on Amazon. Plus, Medline is a name that I trust.

I bought these in 2011 - just now writing my review. I bought these to use on my son because his skin was so sensitive and it was what the hospital used as wipes while my son was in the NICU. These are just like the ones they used in the hospital, they're soft, work well for diaper changes, and didn't give my newborn a rash. He is now a happy, healthy 3 year old.

We bought these washcloths to use when changing our newborns diapers after the hospital used a similar product along baby wipes. These washcloths are not so great. They do not absorb any liquid and are very hard to wipe anything up with. For my purpose they are not at all useful. Now I have 500 ! They feel so thin and almost like a dryer sheet. 1 star

Great dry wipes for a baby. Don't get confused by them being categorized in "Incontinent Care" as I was. They're almost the same as the wipes the hospital delivery room had, except softer, which is nice.
