5.0 out of 5 stars Good towels
These are thin, cotton kitchen towels, made in India with finished hems. They appear well-constructed and have lasted through a few washings with no problem. Like them.

3.0 out of 5 stars Well it is cotton
I use these in the kitchen and I give kitchen towels a hard time, so far they have held up through several washings. The only compliant I would have is how much they shrink. I bought because of the size, I like longer towels that will stay on my shoulder during cooking. The towels lost about about an inch in width and about 3 1/2 inches in length.

All in all...

These dish towels were reasonably priced. They are absorbant. They shrank a little in the wash which is to be expected. Their only drawback is that they are somewhat linty. I don't know how many washings it will take to change that.

Towels are 100% cotton with a loose weave and they are very absorbent. I haven't noticed any lint on the dishes. I hope I can convince my husband they aren't oil rags.

I consider these towels a real find. The cotton is absorbent and does its job; the fabric is substantial and long-lasting, but lightweight enough to dry easily. I like the plain, classic practical look. The towels were linty when they arrived, but the first laundering removed most of the lint, and the second wash removed the rest. More importantly to me, the towels arrived without any perfumey odors and washed out wonderfully unscented and fresh.

All in all though for the price they are good for kitchen clean up, although not as absorbent as I would like, but that is due to the thinness of the material.

4.0 out of 5 stars more likely industrial type, September 10, 2011

It is a nice product. However, It's more likely to be a industrial kitchen type towel rather than home kitchen types.

These work great, but I think they shrank in the wash. When they arrived, I thought they were huge (in a good way), but now they look about like any other kitchen towel. Still glad I bought them, though, and I would buy them again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for small kitchen jobs, January 26, 2011

Soft, thirsty and flexible. These towels don't take up much space but provide a lot of punch. They're not fancy, but they're not meant to be. Utility is the focus.

1.0 out of 5 stars herringbone dish towels, August 16, 2010

I was looking for substantial, thick cotton dish towels. What I ended up with is thin, flimsy, cotton dish towels that come out of the dryer so wrinkled they can't be folded w/o ironing. Big mistake. Keep looking.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great shop towels, October 30, 2011

I ordered these for my workshop to use as rags for cleaning or drying various things. They are perfect: absorbent and a convenient size. The only reason I didn't give them five starts is because they are meant to be dish towels, and I don't think my wife would think they are pretty enough for our kitchen. FYI, I didn't order shop towels that were meant for that purpose because all the shop towel reviews were terrible: e.g., too much lint or non-absorbent.)
