I bought two of these tables and for the price I think they can't be beat. They go together very easily, move up and down smoothly, and almost glide across the floor.

Now for the rest of the story. One of the tables arrived without any hardware. I got online and ask Medline if they could help me out. I didn't expect much but it was worth a try. To my suprise the same day I recieved an answer asking for a mailing address and phone number. Shortly after that FEDEX semi-delivered the package (found it in the tall weeds at the end of the driveway.)

Many companies sell good products, but to find one that does not abandon the customer after the sale is rare. Medline is one of these companies.

I bought this to use as a bedside laptop desk. I like to do my work while sitting in bed at night. It is so easy to raise and lower to get it the perfect height. The wheels slide under the bed so that my laptop is right where I need it. This is so much better than the laptop desk I used to have.

Table arrived promptly and with a minimum amount of assembly, was up and running quite effectively. Not super heavy, but heavy enough to keep the table stable. My mother is 82 and found this to be a life saver, while in bed recovering from surgery. also knows she can use it a hundred different ways once she's recovered.

I would recommend for anyone who will be bed bound fan any period of time Great convenience for a reasonable price.

Medline has changed the majority of the assembly parts on their Overbed Table but hasn't changed the assembly instructions. To be specific; the instruction sheet shows a Release Lever to be installed which you will not find in the parts bag, because you will eventually discover it as a permanent part of the table top. The Column Assembly no longer has a rectangular "L" base, but now has a flat plate. The instructions show a "Top Bracket" with bolt holes on the sides to hold the "L" base to the table top . Since there's no longer an "L" base, there's no longer a top bracket either. So except for the instructions to snap the wheel casters into the frame, the Medline instructions are almost completely wrong. The model numbers on the instruction sheet match the model number on the shipping box.

The outdated assembly instructions are extremely unfortunate because Medline actually made assembly easier and probably made the table sturdier. But I think many purchasers may be under stress from either their own poor health or their loved ones and the last thing they need are confusing assembly instructions.

I bought this adjustable "over-the-bed" style table for the use of my laptop. I have a heart condition and was put on bedrest for a few weeks. As a Novelist, I felt this would be a great time to do some catch-up writing/bookwork. It was fast shipment and easy to put together. Very sturdy/durable parts and construction.

I did however, think the top was white(it looks white in photo). Top is a dark grey color. Very durable however, and easy cleanup. The table slides up and down with one handed ease. (no getting out of bed to adjust it!)

Very sturdy; doesn't give under weight. Has locking wheels. No tilt tabletop, but, I personally did not need that particular feature.

The only downside on this table for me was the length of the table top. When against the bedrails, it only reaches about 18" over your matress area. I have to be on the very edge of bed to use this as an over-the-lap style" table. Could really use the extra 3-4" of length if using over the bed. My bed sits higher than most, and that was no problem either. Great adjustment heights. Basically, I love this table and wished I had it sooner!! Great product for the money, and fast shipping! Table looked great, nice chromed steel parts, excellent welds, however...assembly instructions did not match parts received; the relationship of the lever on the table to the rod that went into the stand was not well shown and did not work. I disassembled the verticle mechanism and found a failed part. The 800 number did not answer on the weekend and today (a Tuesday) when I called I received no explanation.

Finally and most important when I tried the table next to the bed, it would only stay in the highest position, I found that 30" is not long enough to go in front of a person in the bed. I checked and actual hospital bed table and found that it measured 36" inches.

Buyer beware...

I am a 61 yr old woman with a bad disc and limited knowledge of construction. Having said that, I received this a few days ago and put it together myself. I am sure it took me longer to do this than it would have a skilled person but it works perfectly. If you can read instructions and/or follow the pictures, you can put it together. I use it for my laptop computer. I wanted to be able to stand at my computer some of the time and sit at other times. This works perfectly. The lift/lower mechanism comes already assembled (bless you for that!). If you have children who might bump into this, you would want to guard anything that is sitting on it (the "border" around the edge is not very high but is nice & will keep pencils from rolling off). Otherwise, I am very pleased with it!

I have had this almost 3 years and still use it for holding my laptop computer. It still does the job. No problems with the lift mechanism which I raise and lower many times during the day. I highly recommend this product!

I have looked at several {over the bed tables} and this has turned out to be a very good choice. As the product information states, the top is made of a grey composite, {sturdy, and easy to clean}. Although I did cut apiece of rubber mating and placed it on the eating surface so a dinner plate would not slide around. The table was packed well, therefore it arrived with no damage. It was easy to assemble, and had quality hardware. The only

issue I had with the table, is that the eating surface could have been at least four inches longer, {the person using it has to get very close to the edge of a bed to eat comfortably}. But for the price, you would be hard pressed to find another table with the same quality. P.S. If the manufacturer of this table check's the feed back it receives about it's product, let it be known if the table was in-fact four inches longer, it would be flying of the shelves. It then, would rate Four Stars.

I was really impressed with how sturdy this was, especially for the price. It really is like the ones in the hospital - industrial strength. Assembly was straightforward, although I was glad to have an extra pair of hands. The height range is fantastic, and raising and lowering it is so easy, even with just one hand. I can use it as a sit/stand desk, since I have bad back issues - I'm 6'1" and it's easily high enough for this without even raising it to the highest level. We also use it as a projector stand since there's no good place to mount one in our room - now, we can watch movies in bed without the projector getting bumped every time you get up or even shift your weight. Also, arrived quickly from Bethman Sales - I am sometimes leery of lesser known sellers, but for this price, I went for it and was not disappointed. They clearly are dedicated to offering quality medical care accessories for a reasonable price, which is nice to see.

We received this yesterday, and my husband did the assembly. It didn't take him long, but he did need me to hold something while he tightened a bolt. You should be prepared for some assembly when the item arrives.

I love the surface. It is neutral, nice, and just the right size. Not too big and not too small.

I also adore the adjustability of height. Wow! Easy as pie. And a very wide range of heights. I love it next to the bed. And it will easily roll around the foot of the bed, down the hall and into the living room, if I should ever want it there.

I am so glad to have this table. It is really great.
