This is a good product ... but confusing ... in the Photo it looks like it comes with the stand but in reality its just the post and handle ... beware! and if you need the whole pictured system make sure you order the stand as well ...

I purchased this trapeze bar, along with the DRIVE brand base. I had worried if they would be compatible but they work perfectly together. It is very strong and together with the base have been a great help to a relative who recently had hip surgery.Warning though: the directions for putting this together were horrible!! They really need to improve the directions. Also, something to keep in mind: it would help if there were two people without medical problems to put it together, along with the base. Be aware, that having this delivered, it arrives in a very big long box. The package I received was a couple of boxes taped together and one end of the box was open but luckily no pieces were missing. I am aware that some people will respond to this and state that is a packaging issue. I feel that when ordering something online, it's best to have all information possible ahead of time. I am writing about the box because a buyer needs to keep in mind the size/weight of the package and might need help getting it inside the house or moving it around. If you are elderly or have medical problems, know ahead of time you will need help. Conclusion: This has been a lifesaver, seriously. The Physical Therapist was thrilled that he had this setup. I would recommend this to anybody needing help getting out of bed, or repositioning on the bed. On another note: I purchased both this trapeze bar and the Drive base because the headboard he has is not sturdy. Frankly, even if it had been a sturdy headboard, I think I would buy the base, as to not put wear on the headboard. |
