5.0 out of 5 stars Yet again, completely different, February 6, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Though I enjoy Reality Vs. The Optimist more, this one is definitely amazing as well. This was written and composed when the lead singer was in a heavy state of depression for a multitude of reasons, and much, if not all of it, was actually composed during a period of time when he lost his voice. The circumstances surrounding the album are shown through the music, and oddly enough, unlike most modern bands, more so through the instrumentals than the lyrics, which most musicians don't see capable of pulling off anymore. Yet again, they have taken classical concepts and thrown them onto what they are trying to express, combining the old ways of music with the new; the result is yet another album like no other.

The only negative I can throw in is just something that might bother others, but doesn't bother me at all, personally. This album has a lot more of a slow sound to it than the others. Kiss Kiss is known for switching tempos pretty rapidly, and they still do, but much of this album presents a darker, more depressed feel, therefore, you would probably have to have a high level of appreciation for musical expression to enjoy all of it.

5.0 out of 5 stars creative and energetic, July 27, 2009

(REAL NAME)
Kiss Kiss is one of the best bands going in the world right now. They are a rare breed of originality and raw energy. The music is obscure without being pretentious. Most importantly, this is one of the best bands you will ever see live. I have witnessed them bring people to tears with their live performances. This is one of the rare bands going today that deserves everyone's financial support. A truly creative endeavor.
