More About the Author

Shelli Marie was born and raised in an urban neighborhood in Portland, Oregon. She currently resides in Arizona with her four children.
Shelli Marie has always been an avid reader, with her main interest being urban fiction, because she could relate to it. "With a good book you can get all the hot and steamy stuff along with a great plot, not to mention, you can put any face you want on the characters."
In 2012, Shelli began to take time out to write, something she hadn't done since she was in grade school. Although it was a great challenge for her, she was anxious to chase her dreams.
"Even without a college education, I was determined to write, edit and publish my own material."
The writing style Shelli Marie possesses is quite different from most Urban Fiction Authors. When she pens her novels, she takes portions of her life and the lives of her closest friends, combines them and adds some fire, to create exceptional stories.
The love for a good 'take me away' book is why Shelli Marie continues to write. She keeps it juicy, but ensures an easy flow for the most challenged readers.
"If I can just encourage one person to read an entire book, then my job is accomplished!"
Although Shelli Marie originated as an indie author, she signed with Leo Sullivan of Sullivan Productions, LLC in July 2013.
Her Books include: Meesh, Myself and I, Dangerously Loving Meesh 2, Dangerously Loving Meesh 3, Meesh Unleashed, Rose City Chic 1, 2 & 3. Backstabbing Bit**es, and Payback Bit**es. Now Shelli Marie has gone on to start her very own Publishing Company, "Rose City, Ink, LLC". With the assistance of Teruka B, they have slowly been making their dream a reality. They have already released four books under their label: Rose City Chic 3, Loving My Husband & Yours Too, Cliche' (With Marina J) and Honey Love (Teruka B & Shelli Marie). They have new titles dropping monthly. This list includes: Just Me & You (Shelli Marie & Teruka B), Loving Mr. Wrong (Passion P), Ink My Heart (Shelli Marie & Jason Hooper), A Bytch Named Karma 1 & 2 (Teruka B), Crazy Chica, and Loving My Husband & Yours Too 2! Stay Tuned!

The book was good overall, some gaps, but decent read. There were some things that didn't make sense when it came to the time line, maybe dates or at least years would've helped with that. The main character just seemed to be so complacent and unsure of herself...she didn't know who she loved and it got annoying. Also her beginning with sanders was weird, should've been more too it. Why didn't she get her second child tested? That should've been a discovery especially when it cold be kerrons. The story needed more development but I digress.

When I read the first few chapters of the book it caught my attention so i brought the book. Somewhere in the book, things begin to go wrong for me. It was the lack of character development. The book was written in first person in Meesh's words. It was from when she was a teenager all the way to about late thirties or early forties. Now here is the problem, Meesh stayed a teenager in her mind. When i was reading i felt Meesh never grew up. I never felt Meesh got her grown woman status up. She was still that little ass girl from Portland. For example, this was something Meesh said, (keep in mind she is in her thirties and have four kids.)

"I never liked to give oral pleasure to a man. For some reason I felt it was disgusting, especially the slimy stuff that came from it."
SERIOUSLY!!!! SLIMY STUFF!! Is this a grown ass woman who gave birth to three kids, no FOUR kids or a little ass girl who should be watching Nick Jr.
I'm not even going to talk about her relationships....Her little love triangles that didn't make no sense!!I can go on and on. How is she still in love with Kerron? You haven't seen or heard from this dude in decades! Decades! You married! Give it up! I'm not even going to mention her so-called marriage.
I'm not saying the author is a bad writer, no, this could've been a 5 star story FOR ME if characters were developed to their full potential.

This book was different. Not a bad read just different a lot of drama! Quite a few twist. I do recommend! You will have to read it for yourself to get the full effect.

This is a must read! I borrowed this from the author and wasn't disappointed! For this Author to write, edit and publish this book herself with nothing more than a high school diploma is crazy!!! Can't wait for Dangerously Loving Meesh (Repercussions of Love 2)!!

Meesh has stood the test of time! She has had a hard difficult life, but some how she always find a way to overcome a long list of obstacles! I am looking forward to what happens next with her and Sanders, Kerron and the search for him son! Not to mention Marcus!!! I am hopeful that Meesh will one day finally find the true love that her heart longs for....

Book was interesting. Young girl growing up facing everyday problems then finds out that she somehow has ti learn to make it on her own because there's no one there you can really depend on. Go from wanting to be a lil grown to having to grow up quickly.
